I received an email by a woman named Alisha ([email protected]) and was told that she found my resume on CareerBuilder and I was selected as a potential employee for the Ping An Group. I was told that I was invited to interview via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. After successfully completing the interview, I was told that I was selected for a Customer Service position that was $20 per hour for training and $39 per hour salary. Anyone who loves to work from home would jump to this opportunity, so I did. Immediately I was told to sign an "employment offer letter" that was sent to me from someone named Stella Huang ([email protected]). She pretended to be an HR Representative and corresponded that she was here for any questions I had and was " looking forward to working with me" which made me feel like this was all legitimate. After signing the document for employment, I was told to print out a paper cashier's check and load it into my bank account to order software from their trusted vendor which I attempted multiple times and was unsuccessful (Thankfully). A poser by the name of Alfred Williams tried to have me download all types of money apps to my phone (Cash-App, Venmo, Zelle etc.) in order to force their way into my checking account. After about a week and a half of trying I realized that I was targeted by these people who posed as one of the Top Insurance companies in China. Should you ever receive a request to interview for a position with the Ping An Group PLEASE do your research before you sign or provide ANY personal information.

They contacted me about a possible remote job for a start up company. We emailed back and forth for a bit, discussed the job, and they called me the next day. The voice was really mechanical sounding and strange. Upon googling the number I found this scam from the BBB.

I received an email saying they were a recruiter and my background would be good for a job they were hired to fill. They did not have an overview of the potential job and requested my resume. Once they received the resume they said it needs to be “ATS compatible formatting” and sent a link to complete this - ******************************/

There website did not have a phone number and she was not on LinkedIn.

I have resume out on several different recruiting websites. I was sent an email from 615-909-3652 (probably a burner phone) asking if I would like to work from home. I was invited to go to the link in my previous page to hook up into Microsoft Teams. I did so. A "John Ward" was my contact person and we sent messages back and forth for about 20 minutes. Then it became to good to be true - "Work from Home" "$37.09 and hour" "Full Benefits" etc....Ground breaking new opportunities, whatever. The only info I gave was my full name City, State and phone number. No banking info etc...

I was approached with a job offer for a remote Data Entry Clerk. I was reached out to by “Caitlin” for this position stating it was $27 an hour. They provided a website and an email to email my resume. I always look up the company website and google the email or number before sending an information to make sure everything looks legit. When doing so I saw two other reports of fake job offers for the same number with a different company and person. However, after looking up both websites they are identical, emails are identical with different company names, phone number is the same, and the positions they’re offering are identical. So I recommend not responding to that job offer with this number stated above. It’s clearly a scam unfortunately.

Greetings, ***** Mxxxx, I am Berlin Ferguson from Unity Technologies. Our recruitment team has reviewed your resume on Careerbuilder for Logistics Clerk (Remote) job worth 43.19/hr. Interested?

I replied yes. they replied:

the job briefing and interview process would be conducted online via messaging on Zoom app, are you familiar with Zoom?

i replied Yes

they then asked for the email address for the zoom account, so the recruiter could get in touch with me shortly. I downloaded zoom app on my phone and the Berlin sent a request to chat. which i accepted. i asked of more job details, and they said I would be briefed during the interview process. i connected with this person on zoom.

they gave a website during the chat, (http:www.unitytechnologiesinc.com/)

asked my full name, sex. and location.said i would be working from home or anywhere of my choice. said i wouln't be working more than 40 hours a week, sent a description of benefits and pay. also sent a detailed job description. went further to explain the trainer would be attached to me online and would assign logs of duty daily using microsoft office tools and the accounting software. Training would last one week online on my pc and phone. equipment would be provided. this person sent a list of questions. nothing too personal. generic interiew questions. they asked if a had a printer copier and scanner, and if i have ever served in the military. asked me if i could be trusted with handling company funds. the last thing once i submitted my answers, was to remain online they would get back to me briefly after submitting my answers to the Head Dept for an automated review to enable them to see if I am qualified
