I worked for this company shipping and picking up packages for a month with no pay on set pay day I have called and emailed every supervisor and department that I have ever been in contact with with no resolve or resolution. All numbers are busy or just does not ring anymore. Dylan was my direct supervisor which doesn’t answer

They offered a job of a virtual assistant, and required full name, phone number, and home address for a background check. I then googled their email with "scam" and this came up with the exact job descriptions. I stopped contact when it got to the delivery/signing of employment contract.

XPO logistics by last mile was automatically assigned to complete a delivery of furniture I purchased online. The furniture company reserves the right to charge additional delivery fees for missed delivery. XPO logistics attempted delivery but never contacted me for scheduling. The arrived to my address, did not call, and because it is an apartment building did not try knocking on my door. I was home. Their customer service told me I should have been waiting for them throughout the 4 hour delivery window because I am in an apartment building and it is not the responsibility of the driver to find my unit. It was listed on the delivery address. I believe the intentionally missed my delivery so they can charge me additional warehouse storage fees and another delivery fee. I offered to pick up the furniture from their warehouse myself. They told me no. It is $3,000 furniture that they have now taken and will not let me retrieve.

I got an email that looked like it was from my school's career center offering an opportunity to apply for a virtual personal assistant position. I sent my resume and she said she did a background check and offered me the job. I signed an employment contract and she said she would send me tasks to do each week. She said her financial person was named Ellen and that she would be in contact with me about donating to "Buckeye Ranch Foster" and that I would be donating on her behalf. I googled her phone number (774-317-2395) and it came up on this website. Her email is [email protected] but sometimes she uses [email protected]. Thankfully I didn't get to the point where she asked for my bank account info.

I was contacted by the email provided asking me to do an interview. The interview was all online and I did not talk to anybody. Once the interview is over and submitted the next day I got an email again saying that I had a job offer. I signed the job offer after looking up the company. Xpo logistics is a real company. The scammer used the company's logo and said that I would be getting a check in the mail. With the check I was required to purchase office equipment because my position was a work from home position. Once I received the check a few weeks later they asked me to send payments to certain vendors through various money apps. I had to use several apps because of the apps fraud protections. A later found out that my bank froze my account and put it under investigation as well as rejecting the check that I got. I'm currently waiting to work with my bank to get that resolved.

I was contacted by email for an opportunity to work from home with xpo logistics company. I filed out a questionnaire which said the H/R personnel would contact you for an interview if successful. Days after I got an email with a employment offer letter and someone by the name of Ryan who I will be working with. She instructed me to read the offer letter and if I accept the position of customer service i should sign the letter and send it back to her with a copy of my driver's license, tax return and a deposit receipt from my bank. I asked why those info was needed and the answer was she need to confirm my address and my bank info to send a check to me to purchase my work supplies.

I did send it to her but then after I released that I fell victim to a scam. I researched it by going to the company's website which there was an alert on there regarding this scam. I never thought I would fall victim to these scams but they get you when you are at your weakest.

Can you let me know what the outcome of your experience was? I am in a similar position at the moment and had a weird feeling this was a scam.

Thanks!
