Pop up warning with convincing Windows defender graphics including taking control of sound warning. Warning! Do not turn off your computer... call this number now... I did call and did give the "Tech" Mark or Ashish A. permission to access my computer... Talked for a long time and he offered to fix it with three programs Network Firewall, 3 Layer Security, and Anti-hacking tools $349/year $499/5 years.

I keep receiving emails from this company. I tried to call and they tried to scam me even worse so I hung up they were looking for more information. I keep deleting the emails and I keep getting more. Please advise what to do about this particular company. I noticed there are a lot of other complaints about this company. Hopefully you can help me.

I read an e-mail that thanked me for purchasing a $349.00 Firewall Defender system. The e-mail used Microsoft accounts across the top and the website, I think, was Windows Defenders. They informed me that my payment went through their system. Then, they offer a customer service number to call if you desire a refund. When you call these folks, they tell you to make sure your computer was on and then tell you how to give them access to your system.

The body of the letter looked legitimate. They sent one email last week indicating my purchase. I checked and no cards or bank was charged. Today, they send invoice that looks legitimate with phone number. I called to ask how they were planning to bill because the message states in process. They began by asking my name, and invoice or order number. I gave them the order number but gave them a fake name. I insisted they tell me how they were billing, and they tried to get that from me. ......they knew I was on to them and hung up on me.

A message popped up on my computer saying there was an issue with my computer. They told me they were Microsoft employees. They told me I had to go get $1004 in ebay gift cards for them to fix my issue. I did a verification and I sent them a copy of my driver's license. They told me they were going to release my computer. Then I purchased $500 worth of Google play gift cards. Then the person at Walgreens told me it was probably a scam.

I was requesting a refund of $300 from the company Windows Defender for a product I hadn't ordered but my credit card had been charged. When using their procedure to obtain the refund to my bank PNC, $3000 was entered instead of $300. One of their "operatives" who went by the name of Richard Morgan told me the only way to fix this problem was for me to purchase $2700 in gift cards from Best Buy and Target and transmit the pin codes to him. I was suspicious and checked my online PNC account and saw that $3000 had indeed been deposited. I had words with Richard Morgan, saying this was ridiculous and a check from me should suffice. That option was rejected and I agreed to what I considered a foolish solution because the money had been placed into my account. When I attempted to buy $2000 in gift cards from Best Buy, my credit card was blocked because of the number of credit card scams they'd experienced. I called my credit card company, Elan, and was able to unlock my card and purchased four (4) $500 gift cards and relayed the pin numbers to Richard Morgan. As a safety measure I logged onto my PNC Banking System and discovered the $3000 was no longer there. At that point I was out $2300. I contacted Richard Morgan at 325-252-9058 and offered to provide the $700 in gift cards if they deposited the $2300 into my account. I was told the only way I'd get my money back was to obtain another $700 in gift cards and relay the pins to him. At this point I felt laws had been broken and I was potentially dealing with a criminal operation. I'm frustrated at this point because the company Windows Defender and their operative Richard Morgan are not willing to handle this matter in any other way but gift cards. If I agreed to this there would be no guarantee I'd ever get my money back. There's no telling how many others have been caught up in this scam. I filed a criminal report with the FBI this morning and am awaiting their reply.

I got an email a couple of days ago. Windows Defender Order, Microsoft defender notification. I had called Microsoft to check out my computer. I gave remote control of my computer to an operator. She asked if I wanted to buy Windows Defender. I said no. She had an accent.

I received an email about charging me $210.00 for my computer. I told them I didn’t know what they were talking about. They asked for my computer security. I told them this was a scam and they hung up on me. Windows defender, for security in my computer. Two days ago I received another email about McAffey security and said they were going to charge me over $500.00 for this service. I only gave it in my phone. When I told them they wanted my computer security again. I told them I don’t have one. They hung up. I could barely understand them.

My computer froze and a blaring sound went off. A grey box titled Windows Defender appeared saying a Trojan had been detected and I needed to call the number to remove it.

I don't know why I didn't go to the other computer and check but the blaring sound wouldn't stop and I couldn't use the mouse.

I called and asked a few questions and location which he gave as California.

I stupidly agreed to allow a program called Any Desk to be downloaded. It was supposed to allow him to remove the problem. Instead he started pointing out he had my IP address ( which was incorrect) and location. He tried to convince me people had been using my credit cards but the numbers appearing weren't mine. He mentioned a program "Private Internet Access"

He wanted me to purchase another program which he had to research to see which would be best for my problem for $199 US.

I told him I couldn't afford that and would research a solutions and call back if I felt I needed it. He said I wouldn't likely get him. I suspect they are commissioned.

Now wondering if anything personal is compromised. If he got my documents I have my income tax saved in a file. email contacts may have been accessed.

I scanned my computer immediately after and nothing has come up. I am taking it to a professional.

I received an email from Windows Defender that my tech protection plan has expired. The email said: We have renewed your plan for 3 years for $349. If I wanted to discontinue to call 8647159933. They said I needed to deactivate something on my computer. I was not supposed to reply. I checked with my bank who confirmed it was not real.

I received an email on my yahoo account stating a $299.00 charge for this windows defender advanced threat protection would be charge I called there customer sevice number and told themthey better not charge anything ...even though I told them they dont have my bank or redit card info...they giy gave me his phone number sounds like they are callin from a foreign country like asia of course he said his name was mark williams calling froma Arizona area code 480

ON 11/30 I received a text saying I was going to be billed for$249. windows defenders advanced protection for the next 3 years .In 2018 I refused to pay the renewal and still refuse to pay.They are rude and not interested in what I had to say

Ok I was scammed who/where can I call to report this. I do not want them in my stuff. I am 74 and my husband just recently died and I really was not thinking what was going on and am afraid I will be . I am reporting this number to police and Microsoft

I just received a email stating that they renewed my Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection and Firewall for $299. I have 24 hrs. to reverse it. I call the number listed, it is not in service. I can't seem to trace it. My windows account does not have it listed. In has an invoice number but I can[t trace it. It is supposed to be an automatic renewal for 1 yr.

receive email said I order 2020 Windows Defender Protection three years ago and that my account was charged $299.99 for renewal. I call the number and they only can send refund form by trying to grant access to my account. They could not give me any information what account I used to order this service. They got very upset when I would not open my bank account and said I had to only open it on the computer that I am using to get the refund. I told them that I don't look up my account and that I was going to check all of my account on a different device to see if I was charged. He said that I won't see it yet. He desperately wanted me to open one of my bank accounts on the computer I was looking at so that he could give me my refund. If I wasn't charged yet, then why should I get a refund. The site they use is www.helptech24.weebly.com. The email said I had 48hrs to refund charge. When I told him after I verify from my bank today of the charge I would call back. He got very huffy and told me to go [censored] myself.

This is the second time I have received this email but with a different name and phone number. when I phoned they wanted to make sure they had the right computer he rattled off a lot of numbers and letters ask me to go to my computer and push the windows button and R, I did then he wanted me to type some letters in to the run box, this is were I said no, he got upset and said if I did not want to verify my computer that he did not have all day that he had to go and I would not be charged.

I received an email telling me that i signed up for a product renewal for windows and fire-wall protection when i dont even have a computer. I called the number on the email and the man on the phone told me that they are a reputable company and i signed up for their service. There is no way that this was fraud and they are going to charge my account. I told them that they better not and im going to file a claim if it does. He said too bad..
