They asked for 89dollar deposit for USPS job process. After I have a chance to get interviews, if I am not hired.. the fund will be fully refunded to me, the statement says.

This website and many others like it are impersonating USPS jobs website in order to provide "study tools" to pass interviews. Many of them try to look like the official USPS website, but the USPS does not require any fee to search for listings nor take their exams. This is false advertising and needs to be shut down for impersonating a federal agency for potential job seekers.

I thought this was a direct website to the post office offering employment with the post office. The Name of the website is Post Office Jobs Center. I noticed the advertisement on line the US postal service is hiring and that the pay is I started filling out the information online including my name, address, email, phone number. I start noticing at the bottom of the screen requesting that I pay a fully refundable deposit of $39, required for Priority Placement. I immediately started to think of this being a red flag. Most companies won't ask for any money to be paid up front for anything. Luckily, I always make screenshots of every job application that I fill out to ensure that I didn't share any identifiable information such as social security or bank information. After completing the questionnaire including your name, address, phone, and email address, and viewing a short video, you will be sent an email stating "Here's the information you have requested". I decided not to open it in case if someone tries to hack me. I just wanted to alert others to beware and to not fall into a trap. The next day, I called the Better Business Bureau and they told me to contact my local post office. Since I couldn't get through to talk with a live person, I decided to check with my local post office to verify the phone number. Lo and behold I found out the number doesn't exist. The website is Post Office Job Center with an Eagle logo just like the one on the US postal service website. The website link is: uspostalhiring.com/apply. The Phone number is listed as 800-630-2148. I visited the website again just to see if I could screen capture it the number has changed to another number listed as 800-203-1109.

I thought I was applying to the post office but ended up paying $39( actually ended up being 46.95) to a postofficeplacement.com only to find they weren’t part of the post office and there aren’t even any opening’s at any post office within 60 miles of me after this website specifically stated that there were mUltiple openings in my town. It’s going to take me weeks to get the money back and as a disabled veteran on a fixed income, it’s going to hurt. This company should not be allowed to exist.
