Scammed by forest dwayne bates

I was scammed by forest bates on student loan consolidation. He said he was sending me a refund via cash app because I over paid. However, when I hit accept, it was taking the money from my account ( although titled refund). When I said it took my mo ey out he told me cash app was have technical difficulties and he would call.and get it straightened out. My dumba** believed him. He racked up almost $2000 from me. He used the number (561)-451-5199. This was in January- February 2022. He and I had a very heated argument and he blocked me. Cash app couldn't refund because I hit accept.

Update: 8-29-22
I received a call from (561)-510-0445. It was him he acted like he didn't remember the previous situation. He said I could make a 1 time payment. I laughed and told him there's no way I woul pay him and reminded him of some of the things I said to him before and he blocked me again.

In the months of frustration I did track him down and spoke with several people who know him. He lives in Florida. Changes numbers if confronted. He has a brother named Harrison and a mother named shani. He's originally from Oregon. I think his dad's name is forest also and has an i.t. business in Florida ( not 100% sure on that part) . The guys friends don't even know he does this, the did however confirm he is a student debt advisor. He has longer hair now

I was contacted by them and offered the opportunity to consolidate my student loans. They said it would cost $600 (or 3 payments of $200) and said I would be charged once I provided proof of income. After speaking with them, I did some research and learned that I should not be charged to consolidate my loans. So I contacted them to let them know that I was not interested in moving forward but they still had $200 removed from by banking account via an electronic check even though I did not provide proof of income or any other indication that I was interested in their services. When I called to rectify it, they avoided several calls, forwarded me to a different person, made up lies/called me a liar, and hung up on me. A complete scam. Absolutely unprofessional and not legit at all.
