I was contacted by the provided number within an hour after posting an ad for a pair of Ski Boots on my local Craigslist. The number asked if I had the item, then instructed me to verify my identity by sending them a 6 digit code, that I had only moments later received, from a different number. I did not send the code to verify my identity and they ceased commication.

I ordered 2 sleeping bags online for for $14.95 each; little did I know, EVERYTHING on their website is $14.95! My account was debited immediately for $29.90 but I never received an email confirmation or a tracking # that it had shipped so about 10 days later, I emailed the company and they never responded. I tried calling them, but the phone # listed on their website is not a working #. I then did some research online and learned of several others that had been scammed out of their money.

Apple inc ph# 408-606-5775 has called my home phone numerous times today. I did pick up the phone and heard the message that my iCloud has been breached and to dial 1 to speak with an account manager. I knew this was a scam because my home phone is not connected to any account. And I have never given this number to anyone.

It is a very realistic woman's voices, who speaks quickly about working for an automotive company and that you are on a recorded line and then asks "can you hear me okay" to get a positive response in the form of "yeah" "yes" "okay". I said "yeah" and the phone quickly disconnected.

He also gave me a could numbers to write down *** and *** Stated that it shows I have done some money laundering of 100 million dollars and credit card charges of the amount of 147 thousand and that I could get 30 yrs in prison. He then call the sheriff’s department in *** *** and had a man by the name of Ben *** that would becoming by on Wednesday to take me to the court house if I did not do just what he ask me to do. After this statement I could not think straight.

He wanted me to go to the nearest K-Mart and get as many Go Bank cards at $500.00 each total of $3000. Then go to the care and give him the numbers on the card, expiration, and got 6 cards totaling $3,000. Then I was to go to an Apple store and get 4 cards with the balance of $4,000 each and one at the price of $1,400. My money was safe guarded.

He stated that doing this would secure my money and they would open up an account and he would email me with all the information and a Sheriff would be by in the morning to scan the cards to make sure I had them.

After I got home I realized I had been scammed. When my husband came home I told him what happened and he called the Sheriff’s department and he came over and took a report. His name is Sheriff *** Badge #*** report number is ***

I've gotten at least 5 calls from each of the above numbers. They claim there's something wrong with an iCloud account and that Apple products should not be used until you've talked to them/support (no one's name is used so whose account is problematic they never say). They give you 2 options: press 1 to talk to support; press 2 to hang up.

I've pressed 1 to speak to support, and they ask why you're calling. I tell them you called me, what do you want? Then they hang up. What the point of this is is beyond me.

I can't really answer the questions below about the person scammed, since no names were mentioned, and since no address of any sort is given (hello Jim or hello Business Name), I don't know if the scam target was individual or business related.

I was going to buy a concert ticket from craigslist. After an email chain of almost 40 separate emails, I paid for the concert ticket through zelle not knowing there was no purchase protection. The concert time was quickly approaching and there was no response. I never received the ticket. Due to the number of emails I thought they were legit, but this experience proves to only use Paypal for buying concert tickets from craiglists/ebay/etc!

The caller left the following voice message: "So when you get this message kindly call back to us at the earliest possible before we begin with the legal proceedings on our number that is 281 241 4195 I repeat 281 241 4195. Thank you"

I do not answer or return calls to this type of message because I know it's a scam. I'm simply reporting it because I read about the Fraud Free Florida site.
