Type of a scam Government Grant

I received a call informing me that I qualify for a government grant that I never applied for. I was asked to give a credit card number or a savings/checking account number along with a routing number. I gave the account number of a rarely used but has been recently used account. They confirmed the account number several times. I was then told to hang up and call Jack Smith at 202-470-3340 and give the government case ID kc113. I called Jack Smith and the call went straight to voicemail. Then Jack Smith called me right back informing that $8,400 will be deposited into my savings account in 45 minutes after $200 is paid for taxes and bank transfer fees. They mentioned the title "Home Health", but I didn't hear the rest. They also verified my address, but never mentioned my apartment number.

I received a job offer with a job that was posted on ***. The whole process seemed leary and too good to be true. I was chatting with the woman via *** *** for the whole interviewing process. I never talked to anyone on the phone; which seemed strange. As part of my training, she needed me to download the TeamViewer software so that she could remote into my computer to show me how to do a task. However, the task was to create another "job listing" on *** She began to use someone's credit card information and I instantly logged off and questioned her use of this person's information. She told me the person's information she was using was from the accounting department at the company, *** ***. I am worried this is a scam and I do not want any part of what this woman is trying to do. I emailed the director of Vito Technology and he had no idea about this job listing or any of this activity.

The automated caller stated that there was a lawsuit filed against me and that I needed to a call a phone number immediately. The number where the call originated was 716-562-6564. The number that I was to respond to had a 717 area code( I didn't copy the number because the whole thing seemed fishy) I don't know if they were going to ask for payment if I were to follow through, but I thought people should be aware of this activity.

Male caller claims I won over $7 Million sweepstakes and car. Gave long, detailed information regarding delivery and needed a $375.25 UPS processing fee for delivery. There was a lot of pressure, including that my cancellation would be on television in the next 30 minutes.

He gave me his telephone #: 1-876-405-3768 with a cancellation number to call back. He is very convincing, even saying that an IRS agent would be present at delivery -- with names. I refused to accept, so lost no money.
