I have been a mystery shopper in the past for legitimate companies. I found another one online and applied for it. I began receiving texts (which I later blocked) and an e-mail with the attached letter instructing me that a package from FedEx was on its way (it is probably at my house as I speak) and instructions that are obviously a scam to get me to buy $2000 worth of gift cards. I will be taking this package to the police to report it, but want it on record to the BBB so others don't get scammed as well.

Received another e-mail about this junk. Please keep in mind, I inform the following agencies every time I receive these kinds of e-mails:

[email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]om; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; and [email protected]

However, their spam is still being sent at a ridiculous rate of speed.

This number (207-291-4616) is a registered Maine number that begins with a (pretty bad) automated voice stating "Dear Citizen, your Social Security number has been compromised, and many of your social benefits will be canceled, leaving you unprotected."

Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Emily Rapheal from RUSH ENERGY DRINK contacted me about putting their advertisement on my car. The payment would be for the first week of me having this on my car and it would be paid by their sponsor. They asked me for my bank account info so they could deposit the money in my acct but when I refused that is when they mailed me a check in the amount of $4,850.66.. The mailing address is Rue Gilt Group 20 Channel Street Boston, MA 02210. The company on the check is: Stagecoach Pipeline Storage Company LLC 800 Robinson Road Owego, NY 13827. Bank is Wells Fargo Bank San Francisco CA. Routing #*** acct #***. They wanted me to use an ATM and deposit the check then email them a receipt for confirmation. Once this was done I was to get a cashiers check and sent $4300 to the specialist that would put the advertisement on my car. I was to ship it overnight and give them the shipment receipt. I do have the check and original envelope that was mailed to me. I also have text messages from them concerning this matter.

Call stated my social security number had been compromised and wanted to connect me with a legal consultant. I know SS would not call and connect you with legal reps. It would be the fraud dept and not by phone.

Automated recording says the gov't is in the process in "cutting off his social security checks" and to call the number to prevent this from happening. He didn't call. This is a repeated phone call and harassing.

Received a phone call. The caller stated, "I'm looking for yes." I responded with, "Who?" The caller stated again, "I'm looking for yes." I responded with, "Yes?" Caller then hung up. Not sure if this will amount to anything, but I googled this and there have been scams to get a recorded yes from unsuspecting people for various reasons.

I received the call on my land-line. The called and mentioned that I had a pending court case, they knew my previous address and also contacted my daughter. They asked for a call back, and when they spoke to my daughter they told her that she had two hours to respond.

Type of a scam Employment

I recieved a check for $2,434.07. The check looks real. I was told to use 2,000 of that money to purchase Ebay cards and Google play cards worth $200 each. Scratch off the code and send pics of the front and back of the card as well as receipt pics. I was told to keep the $400 and the gift cards so they could be used in my next assignment. My issue is there's not a legitimate company name or adress and the business adress is a gmail account. So I do believe this is fraud.
