I purchased the wrong size wetsuit Women's Vengeance Sleeveless Special × 1 medium for $149.00 on March 20, 2019. My husband tried calling the phone number listed on their website about an exchange or refund (858) 565-9500 because I was not in the country but no one would pick up. When I came back, I left a few voicemails but at that point it was after the 30 days return policy.

1. May 15, I went ahead and just sent over the wetsuit even though no one called me back.

2. On june 12, Sara from Xterra emailed me back and told me they did not receive the wetsuit although it was delivered. I told them it was delivered and gave them the tracking number and only then they said they received it. (USP: *** . Delivered: May 20, 12:24PM San Diego, CA).

3. Only at that point, they said "We can send these suits back to you or offer a website credit of $75"

Xterra never told me they would give me half of what I paid for in store credit. Their lack of follow up was what made it pass the 30 days to begin with.

At this point, I emailed them several times and I told them I would contact the BBB about the they tactics used. Jason, a customer service manager called me to let me know that they would not give me a full refund and advised me not to contact the BBB.

Type of a scam Home Improvement

Beware of this company. They are in it to rip you off with your homeowners insurance. They began working on house before providing a written estimate and failed to provide one after request. I cancelled immediately and the Accountant Annette threatened insurance fraud when questioned about additional $700 charged over insurance coverage which I was NOT informed and never provided an estimate. One week later, she called saying a worker was in the area and could come by with invoice to pick up money. I had enough of several unknown workers from this company showing up at my house without notice not knowing what the other was doing. She supposedly mailed off invoice copies on June 20; and called June 25th trying to send a worker over to get money. I was not comfortable with an OPEN contract and glad I cut ties immediately because of the additional $700 not covered by insurance and I can't even imagine had they finished the job what their hidden costs would have amounted to. Beware! Make sure they provide you a WRITTEN CONTRACT. Annette told me interest will start occurring on Friday, June 28th (less than 30 days) per their mitigation form; and I still haven't received invoice AND THEIR MITIGATION FORM SAYS, "After 30 days interest will accrue."

Type of a scam Tech Support

Over a year ago I had a computer alert come up on my screen saying I had a virus. I unfortunately I called the number and I got "TECH REP" who said they could fix my problem at $165.00. I let them take control of my computer and supposedly fix the problem. I never had another problem or money missing until recently. Constant calls to my home phone and cell phone under different numbers. They keep telling me that the computer company that fix my computer went out of business and they want to give me a refund. All I have to do is go to my computer and do what they tell me to do in order to get my money back. I would not do that told them if real to send me a check. Now they are telling I have to cancel the "SUBSCRIPTION" I have with them or they are going to take 290.00 from my account. They want me to go to my computer and do as I tell you. I refused. This person told me he would call me back tomorrow and then I need to make my decision.

Type of a scam Healthcare/Medicaid/Medicare

These people have both called and texted me about 10 times within 10 minutes. I was called by several wrong names and told I put in an inquiry for health insurance when I did not. After speaking with people on the phone and informing them they had the wrong person, they continued to call with various numbers.

Type of a scam Employment

I saw an ad on Facebook from supposedly the Heineken beer company looking for people to advertise for them. They will put a decal on your vehicle and pay you $500-$1000 per month depending on the length of time you work for them. However instead of paying directly they were going to send a check which I had to deposit and then send it back to them for their installer. Obviously a scam. Too good to be true Lord knows I needed a job and money. It stinks the levels that people will stoop to.

Received a call from this number, but didn't answer it. They left a voicemail (electronic voice, not an actual person) saying to call them back at 215-654-3320 before they begin with the legal proceedings against me.

Type of a scam Government Grant

I was messaged by a friend on Facebook about her getting funds thru a government grant. I am very familiar with these type of grants and all sorts of red flags were coming up during our conversation. The person provided me with the above phone number and place to send a message to apply for the grant. I notified my friends son her account had been compromised and to change her password on her account. I changed my password and deleted any information I received or got from this person or my friend so not to compromise my security.

Email text sent from scammer:

Hello, I was reaching out to you about your vehicle for sale. Do you have a current vehicle history report for it? If not, I suggest getting one at:

When I was selling my vehicle I got one from there to show people that were interested. It was only $19 which is half the cost of Carfax($40 or more). It will show if there are any issues with it. The peace of mind it gives for such a large sale is a bonus too.

It will verify that it has not been in any bad accidents, that it has a clean title and that it has not been stolen. There are so many scams out there. People are more likely to look at it with a report provided - it will definitely help you with the sale.

Let me know if this helps. Thanks!

Type of a scam Phishing

We received a call last week that sounded like a scam. Said our social security number was compromised. It was a message. Hard to tell if it was a recording. I know it is a scam and wanted to report it. Wanted me to call phone number 866-978-6295. Stated they were taking legal action against us. Fraudulent activity. I did not call the phone number back.

Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

They start saying they work on a recorded line and that they work for a travel agency and then they ask if you can hear them alright. As soon as you say yes they hang up. If you try calling again is the same thing, just trying to get you to say yes.

They advertise three day shipping anywhere in the world. That should have been my first clue. I've reached out multiple times via *** and email. I heard from the ** *** *** people asking for my order number (which they should already have!). Then I got a long series of back and forth unprofessional emails with them telling me they're overwhelmed with orders and it's on the way. It's been two months. I need to accept I've been scammed and am out $49.95.

From their website: "Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange."

So, if I ever get this product, which is an adjustable height desk for a laptop, I won't be able to return it.
