Consumer needed to call Expedia to get her daughter's middle name added to the tickets, and was told that she wasn't allowed. They told him he wasn't allowed to do that, but that he had to go to Target to get a $2600 prepaid Target gift card, cancel the flight, then use the $ 2600 target gift card to use to re book the flight. The people on the phone requested consumer wire the card number to Expedia. They told him that they had a partnership with Target stores and Google, that she would be saving over $700 that way as opposed to what he had already spent on the tickets. The number that consumer called was 877-227-7481. Consumer told the scammers that he was going to call the airlines to check about this, and they told him that he couldn't call the airlines to get this issue fixed with the name on the ticket.

This is a scam that says they'll pay you $500 a week to have your car wrapped in a pepsi decal in order to advertise for pepsi. The scammers send you a check for $2850 with the instructions that you use zelle to send $2350 to the people that are suppose to wrap your car and you keep the remaining $500. The individual (Gabrielle Schoeder) insists that you pay the car detailing company as soon as you can so they can schedule an appointment to come and wrap your car with the decal. She was very persistent. Before the check had completely cleared I had sent out $2000 only to have the check be returned and bounced. This put my account into the negative and I can not be recouped for the money I've lost. Please be careful, all the red signs were there I just fell for the bait. The only contact information I had was an email address and a phone number. The initial email I received for the job was through my college website.

My husband and I are elderly and disabled, and are very disturbed by this.

Type of a scam Debt Collections

They keep calling me saying I owe a debt from 2012. When I try to get information from them, they just say they're going to serve me if I don't pay it. Didn't even have my correct address. I think they may buy old debts & try to collect on them, but couldn't get a straight answer. They just hang up on you. Wouldn't give me their address. Said they were In House Solutions, but I can't find any information for them on line. There phone number comes up as a scam. I refused to give them any money.

Computer now has a "Windows was blocked due to questionable activity" sign on it... unable to use any other websites or screens. Called the 1-844-816-1310 phone number listed and he said he was "Kevin with tech support for Windows and MAC". When pressed he said he was in California.. I doubt it.

I did not give any information out. I know it is a scam. Just beware.

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

They claim to be providing fire protection and life safety services and then invoice for "work" that was never requested nor completed. We have twice had them come into our businesses and request any administrative personnel "sign off" on their inspection and forward an invoice. The first time I called several times to dispute ( and several past due notices from them) before I was told the person whom completed the work was no longer employed there and they would delete the invoice. I'm currently in the process of disputing our second invoice. These invoices are small (approx. $200) so they are probably paid without much thought. Do not pay these people for work that wasn't requested!

I ordered a $1,000 air purifier from this company. I never received the item so I decided to call 5 weeks later. I never was able to get in touch with a representative and it did not seem like a legitimate representative line. I ended up emailing their customer service only to be answered weeks later that the item should only take another week or so. Now, it has been three months since the order was placed. I tried to contact customer support and was immediately hung up on and again tried to email and received an out of office email with the phone number I called previously. The number I called started out with saying I would possibly win a Caribbean cruise for answering the survey. It asked I was over 21 and I decided to say no thinking it would direct me to a customer representative immediately. The phone call ended immediately. This is absolutely not a reputable business.

Type of a scam Online Purchase

I was going to purchase a play kitchen set for my niece, but was confused by the product description on Amazon, so I did a google search for more info about the product, which brought up an add for the product on Azundy.com for a somewhat lower price than Amazon and the promise for "no shipping and no taxes" on the purchase. Even though the website looked legitimate, with contact info and customer service, etc., my credit card was charged, I got an email receipt, but the product was never delivered; and the customer service was a dead end.

I accidentally called the incorrect number trying to get a hold of my credit card company to get my balance. The person I talked to was trying to get me to sign up for these other programs. I went along with it at first then realized towards the end of the call that I was not speaking to the correct people. I spoke to a friend today who said that didn't seem right and that I should let my bank know. I contacted them and they are taking care of the charges that are on my card. I believe this was a scam.
