On August 14th I found a Pomeranian puppy on puppy find.com I contacted the supposed breeder who posted the puppy: Jessica Gill at [email protected]

She was posting for a Reverend Frederick Hogan at [email protected] who was apparently on a missionary trip in Lagos Nigeria and who had no time to care for his puppy so was putting her for adoption. This supposed reverend would contact me via email or via phone from +234 701 101 7478

Nigeria. He essentially reassured me that due to his schedule he just wanted to place his dog in a home so all that he was asking was for the shipping fee to be paid of $350.00 USD which had to be by Western Union due to it was fastest form of payment for the Straight Home Service an apparent freight shipping company. Once all the required information was obtained and arrangements were made. The puppy that was suppose to be sent was held twice on The 15thof August for a "Refundable" insurance fee of $600.00 USD then again yesterday 16 August at customs in Mexico for a "Refundable" tax fee of $450.00 USD. I had enough by this point so I said it just didn't seem right that a company that delivers all the time weren't aware of these expenses prior to the arrangements being made. I contacted the reverend and pleaded with him that I just had no more money and I couldn't continue paying and I didn't feel comfortable, he cried and told me he was worried for his puppy and that he would come up with his end and that I please come up with $200 USD which I did all because I believed him to be genuinely true about this puppy which I now know does not exist. A few hours after the payment I was assured by the shipping company that the fee was covered the hold was lifted and due to the time the puppy would have to leave first thing in the morning and will arrive estimated noon at DCA airport today 17 Aug. I went asked the airport cargo office to look up the puppy with tracking#1471202101 and reference#FDB837185D and nothing they told me to get further information and that's when I emailed them at 1217 pm 2 hours past noon and they email me back requesting more money stating the puppy arrived in the US but is in Quarantine in California and would need an additional $250.00 USD. I didn't respond until hours later telling them that they can send the dog back as they had claimed they would and their service was held with no morals as they stold 1150 USD from me. No emails or calls have been received since then.

Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

I called this number which was one digit off of a customer service number for a Visa gift card. The Visa Gift Card number is 866-952-5653. When the automated voice answered, it told me to hit "1" for a $100 Walmart gift card. I waited....it offered again....I waited...finally it put me through to someone with a thick accent who tried to push the gift card on me and kept trying to get my information. I refused. I told him I was calling for customer service for a Visa gift card. He ignored me and offered me free identity theft protection for a year. I asked, "what business is this that I have contacted?" He hung up.

Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief

I have received multiple calls from this phone number. When answering the call, there is an automated message. The message says something about how they are a Student Loan Service that can help reduce your student loan by up to 40% due to new laws written by Obama about Student Loan Forgiveness. It sounded fishy so I pressed 1 to get more information, that option allows you to opt-in. Pressing 2 declines. The call was answered by someone who didn't have any loan information about me. Although I do have loans. She asked for my name and if I had any student loans. I asked how she received my number, she said they use an auto-dialing system. I asked for number to be removed from their list. She then hung the phone up on me. When I called back, there was a different automated message congratulating me for some prize? Very sketchy.

Type of a scam Rental

Fake and fraudulent rental advertisement. This is my rental property and I do not know the person posting my house on Craigslist with incorrect information. Here is the link on Craigslist and their fraudulent response:

http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/apa/5733758935.html

Thanks for your interest and inquiries about my house. Yes the house is still available for rent and we are looking for a responsible person/family to occupy and maintain the house now that we are not around.Myself and my wife just traveled to GA for a program called SERVING IN MISSION (SIM), you can view the link for more info: (http://www.sim.org/index.php/content/our-purpose).

We will be away for 3 to 4 years or more that is why I have made up my mind to put up my house for rent to whom ever that will take good care of it. However, my initial plan was to sell the house but it was not successful because the Realtor raised the price which made it difficult for me to sell before leaving the States so never mind if you see the for sale sign in front of the house, It has already been taken off the market as for sale so there is no need to contact any Realtor.

I want you to understand that I spent a lot on my property that you have requested to rent, so I will solicit for your absolute maintenance of this house

and would want you to treat it as your own because cleanliness they say is next to Godliness. It is not all about the money to be paid on rent or spent; it is all about a good maintenance culture which I want you to adopt on the property. I want you to keep it tidy all the time so that I would be full of smiles whenever I come and above all, a good, strong and tight relationship between us when I come for a check up. Please one more thing, I wouldn't like to have any benefit of trust in you because I ant to stand in your words that the property would be well taken care of all the time. I believe you have seen how lovely it is if from only the pictures you saw in my posting compare to the 100% comfort to be derived from it as you are an occupant.

Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I saw a listing on Facebook to apply for an opportunity to have a Dr Pepper wrap on my car. I sent a text to the telephone number provided 631-998-9937 to show that I was interested and then received an email from [email protected] asking several questions about how much I drove my car and where I went and what kind of car I had and how long I wanted to display the car wrap.. I answered those questions and then received a email that I would receive a 1,750. check in the mail and I would keep 400.00 for my services and the remainder would go to an expert who would affix the wrap and later remove the wrap. Once I received the check and deposited it I was to contact them for instructions concerning the payment to the expert. I thought it might be a scam and contacted the ScamPulse.com and they confirmed that this was a scam. I will have no further contact with the scammers.

Hello,

I just received a voice mail from a Kevin Mason saying he was representing the U.S. Treasury. He is threatening legal action before a magistrate or grand jury if I don't call back to 646-367-0663. It appears the call was from 812-903-9206. The name on caller ID was II, (2 capital i's). Called at 11:19 August 2016. I will not call back. This name has a history of scams when searched with Google.

Thank you.

A Lt. Roland from the Sheriffs called and said I missed Federal Jury Duty. There was going to be a warrant issued and it would be a criminal manner or I could make it a civil manner. I would have to pay $1996.05 and then get a date to see another judge at which point I would be refunded. I had to pay them via Green Dot, Money Paks. The phone number they used was 402-998-5911 and still has a recording that it is law enforcement.

I was called on my cell phone today twice from phone #213-509-3976 with a recorded message that the IRS was going to start a lawsuit if I did not call a # back. I'm sorry I did not take the return number down.

I know that I do not owe them any money so I hung up. But this is about the 3rd time I have received calls from this type of scam. I know that the IRS would contact me my mail if they have a problem and I have not received any notification of anything.
