When they called I answered and there wasn't anyone there... then a woman said can you hear me, I'm having trouble with my headset... I probably said yes and then an automated person started telling me about the vacation package I was eligible for. I told them to take me off their list not realizing at first it was automated, then I hung up

Caller introduced himself with an opportunity to go on a cruise and the cruise package involved. Just as he started explaining the cruise package the line started having electrical interruptions. He continued to talk but his conversation was sporadic, breaking up. Even after I told him I could not hear him he continued to speak. I said No, thank you very loud and hung up.

I received a call from this number. I didn't realize it at first, but it was a recording. She said "Hello? Can you hear me?" I responded that I could and she said "Oh good. I'm having trouble with my headset today." She then went on to tell me that because I stayed in a hotel recently, I won something. I don't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel. I dropped the call.

A young gentleman called and told me that he was "?" from customer service and asked, "Can you hear me okay?" I answered, "yes". He continued to talk about a trip to Disney Land, ... but I hung up. Later I hear on the news that there is a scam out there where your voice "yes" is being recorded as an to attempt to authorize charges on a phone, utility or credit card bill.

I when I first answered the phone I couldn't hear anyone. I said hello. That's when someone said can you hear me now. I can't remember what I said. Then the person started saying I won a trip. I hung up after that. I was maybe on the phone for less than 2 min. I cannot remember the date this happened. It was in the afternoon on a weekday. It had a South Dakota area code.

I received a phone call from Emily saying " oh, hello, sorry there is something wrong with my headset. You have won a 3 day trip......". Luckily, I had seen the news report on this type of scam and I did not say yes. I did respond with "we are not interested before I remembered the scam and hung up"

This call asked if I could hear them. It may be one of the scams where they recorded a YES answer to charge me for services I did not order.

The caller (female voice) says "hello", after you say hello back, they say "hello" again, and then say "can you hear me?" No matter what you say the caller then says, "oh I'm sorry, I was having a problem with my headset. I was calling because you recently stayed in one of our vacation time shares and we're calling because we have an amazing offer for you." It doesn't matter what you say or how you respond because it is simply a recording.

Last night on Channel 11 (KARE's) news show, there was a story about a phone scam. Yesterday morning I received a phone call from a supposed orthopedic clinic. Since I have arranged to have hip surgery in the future, I thought it was a followup call. The lady, with an Indian-sounding brogue, asked if I was having pain in my knee. I said, "no", it was in my hip. She said, "I'm sorry to hear that." Then she asked, "Can you hear me?" I answered, "Yes". But I was beginning to wonder about this call. Then she had a sentence that sounded like it was in a foreign language. I said, "I can't understand you. Are you from the *** ***?" She hung up. I am concerned about this call after hearing the news report last night.
