I rec'd a phone call on my house phone and cell phone with a local area code. it was a computer phone call started with can you hear me and I said yes. Then it asked about a warranty. I hung up.

I then read about this scam. I do not know if they have started to say I said yes to anything to order or with my credit card yet. I answered the questions below as have not taken any money but I do not know this happened 2-3-17 at lunch time.

We got a got from the number provided. They spoke very quietly and my husband kept saying, 'Who is this?'. The scammer said very clearly, 'Can you hear me?'. I took the phone and told them I knew it was a scam and that we were going to turn them in.

It was a fake calling prompting you to say "yes" by saying if you could hear them. It was a recording. I did not lose money yet, as it didn't happen.

I was in the laundry room with dryer running when I received a call from the number above. I heard "this is Jason, can you hear me". I thought he was asking because of the dryer noise. I answered yep then the voice continued that I had won a Disney vacation at which point I hung up. It then dawned on me that I had fallen for the "can you hear me scam". The telephone number indicated it was from Tallahassee Florida where I had recently moved from.
