Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

Answered and some overly happy lady on the phone said there was something wrong with her headset and asked if I could her her. When I said nothing, caller stated she was calling because I'd previously been on a cruise (Not true. I've never taken a cruise before in my life) and I qualified for a 75% discount on my next vacation. Caller then asked if she could ask me some questions before transferring me. I said, I'm sorry but I'm not interested. Caller said she couldn't hear my response and restated could she ask me some brief questions. Again, I said I'm sorry but I'm not interested. Caller hung up on me in the middle of my response. Now after reading reports from others on here, it was probably part of that yes scam. Looking back, she tried to get me to say yes right from the beginning of the call when she asked if I could hear her. When I said nothing, she tried again twice by asking if she could ask me some brief questions.

I receive random calls throughout the day and at times they'll leave a message stating that they're calling in regards to Obama but now they state Trump loan forgiveness programs and funds will no longer be available and loans will be at risk for the fault and that it is critical to speak with the loan specialist as soon as possible to reinstate file.

I did returned a call on one occasion and when I spoke to the supposedly the loan specialist, this person asked a lot of questions to see if I qualified for this program, once I was informed that I was eligible for the program, they stated that they needed to take a look into my FSA account in order to determine the amount I was eligible for and that I was going to receive an email which it would contain a link to reset my FSA account so the "loan specialist" would be able to have access to my account. At this point, I informed this person that I didn't feel comfortable proceeding with this and I requested to have my information deleted from their records. This guy continued stating that it was important for me to follow the instructions on that email to reset my password so he could go in to my account and check the exact amount I owe in order for him to let me know if my loan would be eligible for forgiveness or what amount.

I believe this is a scam as I know for a fact that in order to be eligible for the forgiveness program, you should meet certain qualifications:

*The Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer.

*Teacher loan forgiveness for Direct Subsidized Loans, Direct Unsubsidized Loans, Subsidized Federal Stafford Loans, and Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans
