Type of a scam Tax Collection

They called my cell phone repeatedly and it was an automated female voice. They said that they just received notification of wrongful tax filing. They request that I would get back to them within the next 24 business hours to discuss details about this case. After 24 hours it would expire and they would have me taken into custody by the local "coach" as these were serious allegations. Then they gave me the number 305-712-7729 and repeated this twice... I knew it was a scam because my husband always have our taxes done but H&R Block. The call was very threatening, I also looked up the number online and others have reported the exact same thing. Thank you for any and everything you can do to stop this harassment.

I received a call on my cell phone March 3, 2017 at 3:44 pm. The caller did not identify themselves but after I said hello the female caller said "can you hear me" and before I thought I answered "yes". Since the number appeared to be local I thought it was one of my customers and I replied. I hung up immediately because I remembered the news reporting this as a scam. I tried calling the number back but got a message stating the number had expired. I do not know if I will suffer any financial loss at this time.

There was a beep & a pause, then a recorded voice said, "hello can you hear me?" I did not answer & it kept repeating "hello can you hear me" until it hung up. No other voice contact was made. The caller ID said it was from Saginaw, Michigan.

Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

The scammer called and asked "can you here me ok?" they then proceeded to say I had one an all inclusive trip to Disneyland 5 days, 4 nights. They asked if I had a credit card. I asked how they got my info. Caller ignored question, but I immediately asked again. They said I understand, thank you for your time and hung up. I do not know if they were trying to get my credit card, or recording my "yes" response at the beginning of the phone call. Reported it to my bank immediately.

She just called and asked if head of household is available. I said "no why?", and all she said was "ok, well there is no message, goodbye", and hanged up literally right away on the spot without even anytime to say anything. Extremely phishy and unpleasant. After doing some research on the internet, I realized this is a spammy+scammy phone number, and feel grateful I didn't say "yes" because I heard they use that recording to say I agreed to something that I didn't. I feel threatened.

We run a small business in a very rural area of Wyoming, and one of he many hats I wear is that of a receptionist. I received a phone call today from an automated machine saying that "there was recently a law passed that Significantly reduces per transaction fee tied to credit card transactions", believable enough. The recording also stated that the "merchants/processors are withholding this information from their clients and sending false monthly statements showing no change in fees and continuing to charge their clients the same amount per usual, and that merchants/processors are then keeping the extra money for themselves." Then the recording provided options such as: press 1 to provide our us with the information necessary to get you your money back, press 2 to check if indeed your merchant and/or processor is stealing your money" there were a few other options that I can't remember and then "press 9 to be placed on our do not call list." I selected 9 and hung up. I'm not 100% positive that it was indeed a scam or of what information exactly they wanted us to provide to them, however I'm quite leery of any phone call, automated or not, that promises any kind of money.

I just received a call from this number. Initially the call is from a recording, but after pressing #1 you get to a live person. The recording stated that it was the last time that they would try to reach me after multiple attempts. They were trying to lower my interest rate. I reached a live person and he could not tell me what credit card he represented, just that it was a Visa or a Mastercard. I told him that if he was a telemarketer I would like to be removed from the list. He began to yell at me and ask me if I was stupid and told me that I am an [censored].
