Received phone call today from 804-553-6586 with name appearing as Bank of Amer. At first I did not notice the area code, but being apparently from Bank of America, I answered. At first someone said hello and I answered "yes" which I should not have done. The robo-caller proceeded with their information and I immediately said "NO" twice and then hung up. The robo information was pertaining to a trip. Also it was starting by saying "I'm having trouble with my headset." Hopefully because I said "NO" they cannot use this as a scam.

The caller pretended to be from a cable company (they rattled off about 3-4 cable company names). After asking them some questions about my account they abruptly hung up.

I've gotten 2 other similar phishing attempts in the past 2 days.

I answered the phone. I said hello. The caller asked hello? I said yes? And then he hung up. I'm concerned it's part of the scam where the caller records the recipient saying yes.

Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

Got an messenger notification I thought from a friend asking me if I had been in contact with this Agent Angelina Wood for Facebook to collect my portion of a contest. It stated that after paying $2,000.00 you would be delivered a check by an IRS agent assisted by UPS. I stopped after giving my name age and email address, home address when I realized that my friend would not have done this. Found out the next day her account had been hacked.

A woman wrote me on a dating site. She said her boss a widower need to get out and date. She said he was a real nice guy. She shared his email with me. Because she was a woman I trusted her. So I emailed him. After about 3 months or so he started calling me, we got closer. But, he was always on a business trip or something. I wanted to meet but, he got called on an emergency. He even sent flower to my company. He then said his Mac book computer and Iphone 7 and watch were stolen when he took a cab to the hotel. He ask if I could send a computer and watch. He said he could not do his business in Cape Town without it.The I phone7 could only be purchased by the user. only . He promised he would pay me back when he got back. I bought and sent the stuff with a 2 day delivery to cape town. I put on my american express card.. lost 4,200.00 dollars. He said he had lots of money...he even sent a account statement to prove he was legit and not lying. Then he called and needed cash to pay the workers he hired there to complete the project. I refused to do that. He stopped calling.

I was contacted and was asked if you would like to buy some pens for $357 with my business logo on it and was told I would receive a thousand gift to Walmart as a promotional offer. So i bought them. Took months to show up and when it did there was no promotional item. When I asked about it they said they would be sending them out soon. later I received a phone call asking to buying more stuff but the promotional offer this time was a new truck and the items in question costed $998. I was told the first promotional item was being sent out right away and the salesmen was pushing and introduced himself as John Carmicheal- Director of Promotions and that he was assured me that he would pull some strings and I would be the recipient of this truck. Again he was pushy and got the better of me so I agreed and he assured the payment wouldn't come out for a month and that products would be made at that time as well. He pulled the payment that day and I didn't like the feel of it so I phoned on two separate occasions to cancel said order he was told that I would receive a refund this went on for a month with no change then I disputed it with my credit card company. The company then used purolater to deliver the pens to me requiring a signature which someone in my home ignorantly signed for and stuck me with a charge on my credit card for $998 for a supposedly cancelled item. They will no longer return my calls and I still haven't received any promotional items

I have heard on the news that this is a scam where the person is trying to get you to say yes to use that for some unknown purpose.
