I got very much similar experience except I hasn't paid the money. But they have my info etc. The email template looks like the following and the 600 (free shipping) seems too good to be true.

Additional info - I looked for their new domain name (whois) at https://lookup.icann.org/lookup and found that they are located in South Africa, which is a big red flag. (Context: https://www.hostgator.com/blog/find-out-who-domain-owner/)

Unfortunately, reverse Google image search will not show up anything useful, and they appear to be using a valid SMS to seem authenticated.

Thank you for sharing this, We just got in contact with these [censored]ers and I'm happy to have found this wealth of information. They're still using Simba and the same pictures. That cat couldn't still be 9 weeks old from last April. I wanted to let you know that your efforts have not been for nothing. I don't know if there's a way that I can actually facilitate getting them caught. But thank you, this is very helpful.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SHARING, their address and phone number is the same one, but change the company name to "Paradise Devon Rex Kittens Home" and website: www.paradisedevonscattery.site

It happens again, I just stop emailing now and gave feedback to Gmail and BBB fight scams. Their first reply looked very official and detailed. After emailed, read carefully what they replied, then you will find the error. In summary, they ask me to pay by PAYPAL, (they will take care of customer service, though) I haven’t sent money, but these people have my address, phone numbers...

Please stay alert, this type of scam uses people’s love for what we are paying attention to.

Thanks for all of you sharing your experiences. I believe they now change their website to www.pawfectbritishshorthaircattery.com and I received exactly the same email as @jmummery, just the kitten's name changed to Abby with her 3 cute pictures. The total price is $660 with free shipping sounds too good to be true, so I searched their phone number and found this website. It's good they haven't changed their number so people can still track. It's almost zero cost for these scammers to set up a new website, so we should all be careful of these people who make illegal money from the angels pictures.

I’m currently emailing with these people and have received the same address as mentioned above, but grew suspicious when I looked the address up. Besides, the free shipping sounded too good to be true. Very happy I haven’t sent money, but I have these people my address, and mine and my boyfriend’s places of work as well as our phone numbers.

I was looking for a specific breed of cat, I emailed the ‘company’ I was looking through their website and the photos of the kittens seemed too good to be true so I thought I’d put a feel through email, they asked a few standard questions about me and my pet experience. Then said they had a ‘deal’ because they just want homes for kittens during covid. I’d pay the money (560 USD) and pick up the kitten at my nearest airport. Seemed fishy, I told them I actually didn’t have the whole amount of money they wanted in which they just replied with an email saying “how much do u have?” .. super sketchy. Glad I had an initial bad feeling about it.

There are multiple reports online of this business taking money and not having nor delivering any actual kittens/cats. They appear to just have a website with pictures of kittens/cats and ask for the money upfront.

I searched for British Short Hair cats. This beautiful website comes up with testimonials on reviews of cats they purchased. Said they offering a coupon for free shipping. Said she would only take zelle for payment. She sent me a contract with a receipt of payment. And when it came time to ship a Radom number called and said I needed to send a payment through the cash app to rent a temperature controlled cage for the flight. Once I searched their website and was unable to get a hold of anyone at the company. I told Sheila Fom that I would like to cancel my order. She said she was sorry for the convenience and would process refund. As soon as I said I would like to cancel she no longer answers the phone. I can’t believe google services would help set up a fake website. Total scam for $1120 and can’t get a hold of them!!!!!! Also says they are a member of TICA and once I questioned her on not being able to find the company name she sent me a fake registration from TICA

I almost got scammed but saw an indentical scampulse report. Below is the e-mail I received from Happy Cattery after I filled out their online form for info regarding kitten SIMBA. Luckily I didn't send any money.

I ordered a kitten after visiting the website happycattery.com. I was stupid not to further investigate before ordering. So i purchased the kitten Simba for $560. At this point I was not worried about scam since they even gave me there address and it was obviously to far from New Jersey for a self pick up. So they suggested a next free air fright delivery and it seemed to be good for me. So i made the payment, then they send me an email that i have to expect a deposit of $915 by the shipping company for a crater that the kittens will be safe transported. I though okay it maybe to cold and the kitten needs a special container. They also promised the $915 will be refunded on delivery it's just to rent this device. I still believed this story. Then the shipping company contacted me for the payment of $915 and I paid via Zelle since they asked for this payment method. A day later on 3/26 the shipping company contacted me again now with a new request for an insurance that is needed for $1800. I got skeptic and told them that can't be for real. The person claiming to be the shipping company representative started threatening me I have to pay of they will fine me $10000 for quarantine the kitten. I was torn apart but my guts tells me that was a scam. I called back the breeder no answer by phone and the shipping company with no answer. They call them Logistic Pets Transport LTD but i can't find any transportation company on google with that name. I emailed the breeder and the logistics company to refund my money but they declined this option. I contacted my bank but they can't refund or cancel zelle payments that I authorized. I filed a claim at the FBI website for scam. That was all i can do after loosing $560 and $915. The address of the breeder is 9037 J M Keynes Dr, Charlotte, NC 28262 phone 760-459-4688, email [email protected]. There is another email for the zelle payment [email protected] and name Cyril. I hope noone else does this stupid mistake like me falling for these scammers. Thank you ********* ******
