I got contacted by Clara Dack, same story as others mentioned here but unfortunately, as I was new to Canada and didn't know anything about this type of scam, trusted her and provided her my information, and now after one year, it cost me 12000 $ means my 7-month salary, Please stop these people.

If anyone is contacted by Golden Way Transport Inc. regarding employment, it is 100% a scam! I am the owner of Golden Way Transport Inc., which is a transportation company based out of Newmarket, Ontario.

We have recently been advised that somebody has created a fake website (https://goldenwaytrans.ca) and has been using our company name and various false information in order to scam people into giving their banking information. WE ARE IN NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH THIS WEBSITE. All of the locations, emails and phone numbers on the website are false. We are currently in the process of updating our Google information and removing the link to this website, as well as the necessary steps to ensure this website is deleted. If anybody is contacted by somebody claiming they work for Golden Way Transport Inc, please do not provide them with any banking information!

Golden Way Transport Inc. is a legitimate company, however; the scammers using our company information are not. THE WEBSITE LISTED ABOVE IS NOT OUR WEBSITE.

Contacted me asking whether or not I was interested in their new position for Finance Manager with their company. She said that they had both full and part-time positions available. The first red flag was that in her list of requirements and abilities to be considered for the position were non-extensive for such a high up position, basically just that you had to be 19+ with administrative skills. They promised full benefits, Lots of vacation pay and life insurance. Promising above average pay at $49-$57 an hour. I replied that I was interested so I could gather some information to determine whether it was a legitimate business or not, and she asked me in the following email to fill out an application and send it back. I was not about to give them any of my information but but i provided her my license number. They also had email address so I wasn’t quite sure where they even got my information from or how they knew that I was looking to change careers. I did look up the business through the CRA and there is a Golden Way transport Inc. since the 60s, because it was listed on CRA i provided my info but after that i researched and found it was a scam.

I was contacted out of the blue by a lady named Clara Dack of Golden Way Transport Inc. if I would be interested in a position as a Finance Manager for the company, working remotly for nearly $60/hour. She did not request any resume or demand any details of previous experience. She only sent a job posting and an application form.
Once I sent the filled out application and sent it back to her I was contacted by her via phone, in order for her to provide me more details about the job.
I was very shocked to hear about the fact that I would have to use my own personal back account for company fiances.
No legitimate business would ever do this.
I tried calling her back, but the phone number is not set to receive calls, only make calls.
The physical address listed, though real, does not have any business listed under the name Golden Way Transportation.
I am very convinced that Golden Way Transportation does not really exist, and that it is all just a scam.

I was contacted today via email by Clara Dack. Of course I was interested because who wouldn't want to work from home at an entry level position for $40-50/hr. When I filled out the application I was called within 5 mins to answer some questions. The women on the phone was very brief and spoke fast. When I had questions about the position she quickly responded and ended the phone call. I received an email after the call to give them my direct deposit form and to fill out a Employment contract. This company is definitely sketchy and I am glad I looked it up before continuing with providing my information.

They also had my old last name and email address so I wasn’t quite sure where they even got my information from or how they knew that I was looking to change careers. I did look up the business through the CRA and there is a Golden Way transport Inc. since the 60s but they are using the name.
