Glassman Aviary Reports & Reviews (5)

I talked on the phone with this man about purchasing a bird, took a little over a week to actually decide to purchase a Rose Breasted Cockatoo, I sent in a partial payment after he told me I would receive my purchase the very next morning with no problems, he said the bird was up to date on everything that it needed and there wouldn't be any complications getting the bird to me, well I waited til time for my bird to arrive and I got a text message saying they would be here at my front door to drop off my bird, a few minutes later I was told that some state animal control had them and said there was no proof of the bird being up to date on anything, told me it was going to be an additional $500 to get her up to date and beings the delivery was insured I would get my money back, well after sending them the $500 they then tried to get me for $700 more, when I told them I was broke, that they had take all of my money I never heard another word from them

I was taken for $900 from these nasty people, they rip people off by selling birds and never deliver them, I saved up for a rose breasted cockatoo and lost every dime to these con artist, TAKE MY WORD, DO NOT BUY FROM GLASSMANS AVIARY

Glassman Aviary Scam. I was a victim of fraud January 11, 2022 by Glassman Aviary, apparently based near West Palm Beach, FL and other Interstate locations (see other complaints) I was interested in obtaining a male Congo African Grey between 3 and 7 months old from Glassman Aviary, Ltd. The person handling the transaction sent a photo of the bird and guaranteed me a 3 month old baby for $600 plus $100 for shipping and insurance, for a total of $700. I was informed that I needed to pay using Zelle, or Apple Pay. I opted to pay him $700 via a third-party app called Zelle, and sent three payments through Zelle to their funds accepting agent, Mikayla West at [email protected] for $100 for a test run, $500 to complete the payment for the bird and another $100 for shipping and insurance thinking it was a legit business transaction. Zelle notified me the funds went to a Bank of America Account but would give me the name or the bank location. The seller promised me a full 100% refund and money back guarantee if anything went wrong.

The bird was supposed to arrive by January 12 by early morning, but it never arrived. Just before noon on January 12 I received a message from the shipper Universal Mail Post saying that the bird had been detained and confiscated by the Texas Livestock Controller (Vet Unit) at the last terminal. The UMP worker instructed me that I needed to pay an extra $824 for three vaccines to get the bird released or it would be placed in quarantine. We argued back and forth since I was told the bird had the needed vaccines and a Vets Health Certificate. I told him to send the bird back and called the Glassman agent at 1-(561)593-0493 to have my funds sent back. Glassman’s agent stated that the insurance would pay me back and I said I wanted my money back. He said I‘d have to request it through my bank and Zelle, which I did. At that point I told him I had told UMP to send the bird back. The following Wednesday, 1/19/22 I contacted UMP to make sure the bird was sent back as Id not gotten any information back from Glassman Aviary. The person I talked to stated the bird was still in quarantine and said I needed to pay not only the vaccine fees but also boarding fees. At that point I was feeling guilty letting the little guy sit in a crated box for a week and called Regional Director at the Texas Animal Health Commission and that’s when I found out for sure that this was a scam. He said the initial Polyomavirus vaccine and health certificate was all that was required in Texas for an Exotic Bird. Then the bank sent me an email that same day, and stated they could not retrieve the money through Zelle. I again called the numbers listed for Glassman and UMP but they would not answer or return my calls. I left a message at both places that I was going to contact the police.

I did not discover in early January any outside reviews or information on the Glassman Aviary, despite the fact that their website claims they have 40 years of experience; this website does not appear to be legitimate. Glassman Aviary people are misleading and make numerous false promises.

If you order from Glassman Aviary Ltd. they will not deliver your items and will collude within their organization (Universal Mail Post, Ltd.) to fraudulently steal more money using various tactics. Be Cautious and check with your Better Business Bureau and State Animal Health agencies before buying birds over the internet.

Unfortunately, I was a victim of fraud today by Glassman Aviary, apparently based near Mansillion, Ohio. My 14-year-old son wanted a pet bird for Christmas, and Aundrea Rodgers from Glassman Aviary guaranteed me a Green Cheek Fertile Egg for only $100 plus $50 for insurance, for a total of $150. It was supposed to arrive today at 4:30, but it never arrived.
Aundrea Rodgers promised me a full 100% refund and money back guarantee if anything went wrong. The man informed me that I may pay using Zelle, Apple Pay, or Gift Cards. I opted to pay him $150 via a third-party app called Zelle, believing that everything was legal.

A day later, one of his coworkers messaged me, saying that my egg had been detained and confiscated by the Livestock Agency at the last terminal. His coworker instructed me that I needed to pay an extra $273 for a breeding permit and insurance as soon as possible.
He demanded that I pay extra money or else my egg would not be delivered. I requested him to give me my money back, but he refused, so I contacted my local police department, informed my bank, and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I couldn't discover any reviews or information on the company, despite the fact that their website claims they have 40 years of experience; the website does not appear to be legitimate. This company is misleading and makes numerous false promises.
If you order from this company, they will not deliver your things and will try to steal your money from you by using various tactics such as pretending to provide you with a special offer or a discount.

Glassman Aviary Ltd. also collaborates with a fraudulent company named Universal Mail Post Ltd. These guys are bogus and all they want is your money, so please be cautious.
