I had this exact same experience today! They hired me yesterday and I found it odd that there wasn’t much about them on the web and that I wasn’t interviewed or asked for references but I looked into Dr Connie Lehman who is a co founder, she’s on LinkedIn looked pretty legit but I couldn’t ever find a phone number. And then when Michael Steenbergh sent me the paperwork it was signed by Rebeca Minguela founder and CEO. When I googled her she is the founder and CEO of CLARITY INC! And when I Google mailed the business address in Austin TX it’s a corporate office but there’s no Clairity inc sign. There’s an indeed sign! I was so close to falling for this. Glad I went with my gut. I asked him why the co founder and founder have different spellings for their companies and asked for a corporate phone number which he “isn’t allowed to give out”. That’s when I put on my FBI hat and faced the fact that it’sa scam.

Contacted by text 12532694414 Andrew to download Telegram app for interview. Was asked a series of questions than hired on the spot, but virtually. They actually had me going until I couldn't find the HR person or my soon to be contact Michael Steenberg via LinkedIn or their company homepage. There were misspelling and a personal Gmail being used. So glad I Googled this and found I'm not alone in this scam. Hope these creeps get busted!

I basically had the same situation Rose had, same with the text from Andrew, I am looking for data entry work so i didnt think anything of it. Im very sad 27/hr sounds amazing but I researched the possibilities of it being a scam

I experienced the same thing. I received a text message from "Andrew". The text came from ph# 9514590573.

Dear Applicant, this is Andrew from Enlitic, Inc. Your resume has been reviewed and you have made it to the NEXT STEP for the job opening for Data Entry position. Are you familiar with Telegram Messenger? If not, You are required to download the app on Google Playstore or App Store, you can also click on the link provided below to download the app (https://telegram.org/). Once the download is completed, you are to set up an account with your contact number/name and add up the hiring manager MRS. I reached out to the so called hiring manager MRS. Shandra Sedlak on Telegram Messenger as instructed but I immediately thought this was a scam because of how MRS was spelled in all caps and the fact that I didn't apply for this job. Anyway I located this person in App and added her. Just as the person stated above she asked real interview questions then at the end of the interview she said -

Well you have done well so far and you seem like a perfect fit for this position.

Hold on online while I send your answers to my superiors for review and consideration okay. Then she said -

Congratulations, your performance ensured you had a good score eligible for enrollment into our weekly routine training programmer. You scored 7.5 out of a possible 10., you have just been confirmed qualified for this position
You are now offered the job position...you are HIRED!
You are welcome to ( Enlitic Inc.).
You are now given a chance to show your commitment, charisma, diligence and be a productive employee.=D> =d> =d> =d>

I messaged her back asking was this a scam then she immediately went offline never to be heard from again.

I was messaged about a remote job opportunity doing data entry and was immediately alarmed because I had not applied for this specific job. I was instructed to add "Anastasia Lee" on google hangout to discuss the job with her. Already sketchy. I proceeded with what seemed to be legitimate questions that I would normally be asked at job interview, she sent me the company website to browse. I found her name on the list of team members and then at the end of the conversation told I was hired. I looked at the website to try and find a number to call to confirm its legitimacy but all I found were emails. It was a legitimate company, I emailed the address that I found two separate times on the website to confirm the job offer I was then instructed to add a different person on Skype and chat with him because he was going to give me my assignments to do as part of my training. His name was "Denise Arnold". He said I would need to order software and equipment from their company vendor and they would send me a check in the mail to pay for these materials as soon as possible.

I began "training" for three days and finally did some more digging on twitter on the company's page and only because I dug so deep and hard was I able to find the email of someone that ACTUALLY worked at the REAL company, I notified him of the situation and his chief of staff responded letting me know there was no data entry position and they do not use google hangouts or Skype to have meetings and it was indeed a SCAM. The scammers used the real company's logo and forged very believable work documents. I then received a check in the mail overnighted from Fedex, the check was from an auto parts company for $4,700??? This was a real company with real people, but the people that I was talking to was not them. they were imposters posing as the people that they got off of the real websites team page.

I asked to speak to HR multiple times and they said someone from HR would call me within the week. Glad I didn't put anymore energy into this. Protect yourselves.

The company contacted via text message. I had applied to several position on the indeed.com website. The text message directed me to an agent to chat with on google hangouts. I have used google hangouts with past employers so really didn't think too much of it. During this interview, I was given the company website to review. After that interview, I was directed to skype with someone to complete the second part of the interview process. Directly after introducing himself as Andrew Fields, he said "I want you to know that your check will be issued out today and i will like to confirm your information before forwarding to the Account department to avoid any mistakes in the nearest future." Tried asking questions regarding issuing a check directly after first interview and telling me days in a row that it was "mailed today". Questions I had were never answered directly or had odd answers. I asked if a company is going to issue a check without protection of that money, why would I trust that company to protect me or my information. They said, "Well I assure you everything done here is secured and protected. Your information is safe with us." I asked what measures were in place to ensure that protection. Their reply, "Everything done online over here are protected and secure. So you should have nothing to worry about."

I did not lose any money. I did not give bank account information or my SSN. I strongly believe I would have because they would have wanted to set up direct deposit. I am worried that the information they obtained will be used for identity theft.
