Someone called 1st took my interview then told me my job is to just ship the package they will create label i have to print and ship they will pay me $2400 base and $40 per shipment after one month 1st pay which was on 21st they block the portal today no one replying they have my social my AED my ID they made me sign W2 and W4 i am scared of my identity theft please help me as this was my first job in America.

I started working for Eastway Ship on the 17th of February. I was sent packages to my house, mostly. I did have to pick up two packages, one from a Best Buy and one from a FedEx in a Walmart. I wasn't sent anything strange or dangerous but some of the packages were expensive. I then printed out labels I was sent through the dashboard. I would put the label on the packaged and then drop them off at a UPS or FedEx location. I was supposed to be paid 3,000 dollars, 2,400 for the base pay and 600 for bonuses. I called every phone number I that they used to contact me and emailed and every email they used to communicate with me. I do this since I can't log into my dashboard to talk to them through that and I have not been able to since the 16th of March, the day before I was supposed to be paid. I also have a package with motor oil in my house I never got a new label for.

I do plan on filing a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General's office. You don't have to be a resident of Illinois to do this.

February 16, 2023 I was hired to reship packages and was promised to be paid March 17, 2023. I was complete ghosted and didn't receive payment. After doing research this morning it is common that this company changes names to reduce being exposed, so if there is a company reaching out to have you recieve packages and later reship them DECLINE!

All the incidents being reported here I experienced. Here is the name and address of where some of the shipments were sent and services rendered never paid. They are identity theft scammers as well. Strong WARNING stay away. Shippment went to Gregory Sidak at 620 A St. Ste. 35966 Wilgmonton DE 1980.

I signed W4 with Easyway ship.
My title was Supply chain.
My duty: I have to connect daily in their platform accept task usually I received packages in my house. I have to take pictures remove old labels and then requested a new label. Also I have to go get package at some places such as West Marine, FedEx, UPS. They call Vip package $100. This is where I realized all lots of things weird about this company. For example one day I have to get VIP package IPhone 14 at M&S food store at the same time the person who the package belongs came at the store the worst part is the person who is mentioned is not the same person bizzarly they are all in passport ID. 😑 This organization is criminal hopefully police will arrest them.

I was "hired" by EastWay Ship a month ago and have received and sent out many expensive packages. My pay day was set a month out and the day I was supposed to be paid I could no longer log into the dashboard and all of the "supervisors" numbers were disconnected. They gave me their employer ID number and forms that came up on the IRS website as a legitimate company. I did a lot of work for them just to be blocked on the day I'm supposed to get paid. Don't fall for it.

East Bay Ship ( Not a legit job ) Scam !!! There criminals .

My interview was very simple and short . And i was told my job duties was to log in the portal 3 times a day check if I have shipments . Once I receive shipment I’m to take a picture and upload on dashboard then take to the nearest fed ex . Take a picture of receipt and that’s it . At least that’s what I thought a couple days later I have 14 packages. I had to go to San Francisco 3 different loacations in San Francisco to pick up vip packages as they claim . Only one fed ex location allowed me to take package . But the remaining 2 in San Francisco said they will not release package to me per there policy. And I was given district manager number. They took a copy of my ID and I left. I emailed ( shipping manager ) Henry Dane regarding situation. He did not respond to that email he just asked me which packages was I able to pick up . That’s was a huge red flag . He showed no concern . I’m so upset . These people need to be stopped and and face jail time and fines. Henry Dane , Cassandra, we’re the main two who kept in communication .. They are criminals!

I was suspicious of there hiring process. When they got to the W4 form that’s when I put on the breaks. In all of my 45 years of working I have never heard of a W4 and then I received this thank goodness I didn’t give them my social security number.

Repackaging Scam

I applied for job online and was contacted for a logistics coordinator position. After brief phone interview I was hired to receive packages, make sure they were not damaged, then reship to buyer. I was told that most were overseas buyers who couldn't buy/pay for purchases through normal channels and Eastway Ship facilitated their online purchase. They are very sophisticated with training videos, online "dashboard" to log into. Very business like and polite. The following are copies of emails sent:

Here is also the process on how to report it:

1. When you see a new package that was assigned to your dash board, every time there's a new package, you just need to click 'Task Accepted' (Always click Task Accepted for the system to be notified that you are now ready and will be waiting to receive the package upon delivery)

2. After receiving your package, you will see 3(Three) options under Status, (Not Received/Received/Sent) next thing to do is to click 'Received' since you already received the package then Refresh your dash board and Request a shipping label(If you have not received a package but it states their on the tracking that it was already delivered, Please contact us.)

3. You will see 3(Three) options under Copies(Packing List/Photo/Receipt) Upload the required pictures under Copies, Packing list or invoice should be uploaded under 'Packing List' (If there is no packing list/invoice list you can take a picture of the old shipping label that came with the package and upload it under 'Packing List' then Upload an actual picture of the item under 'Photos', You need to open up the package and take a clear picture of the actual item. (If it's a manufacturer's box, no need for you to open it, just take a picture of the box) then for the 'Receipt' that's for the actual receipt that will be given to you at the carrier's store when you have successfully sent out the package, take a picture then upload it under 'Receipt' (NOTE: Only 1(One) picture can be attached)

4. Once the shipping label is available you can now download the new shipping label and you may now ship out the package, don't forget to always ask for a receipt at the store. (Due to the pandemic there are store's that will not be giving out receipts, mostly you will get a text message that they have scanned your package and you can use that to upload under 'Receipt') (If still no text message and receipt, just take a picture that you have dropped the package at the store as proof)

Also Upon receiving your package and there's a chance that your supplies has not arrived yet, Just kindly reuse the same packaging, box, pouch, envelope of the original packaging, make sure not to tear it open so that you can reuse it again, as long as the package will be secured, that's good to go, just place the new shipping label on top of the old one.
