I was searching for a Cockapoo puppy to purchase and the website for Cute Cockapoo Puppies came up. They had a good website, with photos of puppies available for purchase. I used their online form to submit my request for a 10-week old Cockapoo puppy named Brenda and received a text message right away followed by an email.

The seller said the puppy I inquired about was available, for $650 and $150 shipping. They asked me to send the payment via Zelle, which means I cannot block or reverse the transaction. Then they sent me a contract to fill out and send back which I did. I emailed numerous times asking the seller to provide details as to what I could expect about the timing and the shipping process, to which I got no response, except that they were preparing the dog for shipment. Then the seller sent an email "receipt" of the shipping order with US Base Logic cargo which included a tracking number and flight information.

Within an hour, I received a phone call and an email from US Logistic titled "Urgent, Urgent, Urgent" that said the puppy passed inspection for vaccinations but required an upgraded crate with the appropriate temperature and pressure ratings for flight. They stated the cost of this crate was $10,000, but that I could rent one for a deposit of $965 of which I'd be refunded $865 upon delivery. The payment method was also Zelle.

I was suspicious and forwarded the email to the seller advising them to take care of it on their end. The seller responded that they'd also received the email but the cargo restrictions had changed due to the pandemic and this was the first time they'd shipped a dog since the pandemic. I again asked them to take care of it as an experienced seller, they should have been aware of these restrictions, which by the way are not new and unrelated to the pandemic.

I said I was not comfortable paying more money through Zelle ot the cargo company and the seller offered for me to pay him the deposit and he'd pay the cargo company. We went back and forth on email several times, and the seller continues to request that I pay the deposit.

I advised the seller they were in breach of contract and to refund my money immediately.

This puppy was to be a Christmas gift for my kids. Not only did we get scammed and lost our $800 but we have no puppy.

Was looking for a Cockapoo to buy. Found this site and contacted via text. Asked for more pictures than those shown on website and they claimed others would still the photos to sell fake dogs. They wouldn’t send any. Wanted me to send the ‘half off’ price of $660. for the puppy which included free shipping to my door thru a Walmart money order. I looked for scams in VA thru the NBN and found a similar sc for poms. I talked to the person on my phone and he had very broken English and the text messages didn’t make much sense. I have not heard back from him so far. NYW, tests said I was talking to a woman but a man called me. Website looks great but no location given

I was going to purchase a cockapoo puppy for the unbelievable price of 600 shipping included from this website. They only take cash or money orders, the texts were full of grammatical errors and when I requested their vets phone number communication stopped. My friend texted them to inquire about a puppy and received the EXACT text I had received full of the same grammatical errors!
