The scammer left a message and they already had my husband's name and said they were from our actual insurance carrier.

I returned the call and got a voice message asking for details to be left so call could be returned. I left them my name and number and gave them my husband's DOB before realizing it was a scam. I contacted Athem BCBS to verify and they had no record of the caller or any such call being made.
