Caller asked for parent of my son, used his name, said that he had signed up for the SAT study guide. Said they would send the study guide and only charge if the material was not sent back after it was used. Asked for a credit card number, but said it would not be charged. Sent the material, but card was charged the day the material was mailed (we had not even received the material when the card was charged) Material came, no identifying name of company, email, website, etc. There was an 800 number to call if questions and P.O. Box. I tried to call several times, left my number and told them I wanted a refund. Sent back material, did not receive refund.

Caller said they were calling re: SAT prep materials that were requested by my son. They had his name and my phone number and address. They wanted to send out a CD of prep material. When I declined, they offered to send a USB of study materials. Ok, sure. They said they needed a credit card to send it out and when the USB was returned, the two forty-nine would be returned. Ok, I gave them my number. They said my card was declined. That's strange I said. Next second I received a fraud alert text from my bank sighting a charge from "Student Acheivement" for $249! Well that isn't 2.49! I promptly told them I was not interested and requested a new card from my ccard issuer just incase. Was given the name Aliah and phone number 888-540-0374

The scammer called on the phone and knew my son's name, address and school information and said my son had asked for SAT exam prep materials from Student Services. They needed a credit card hold payment of $250.00 to ensure the materials would be returned in the same manner in which they were received.

Our son is getting ready to take the exam, so we didn't think anything of it until we talked to our son, and he said he never talked to anyone in Student Services about these materials nor did he request them to be sent.
