From a restricted phone number from the Process Service Verification organization, the individual claimed that a "civil complaint" notice had been certified-mailed to me at my (verified) address, and asked if I was going to "sign the notice today". She provide me a case number and gave me a phone number to call. I called, gave my case number, then was transferred to my "representative". "John" offered me details that I owed HSBC $9,872, and this was now being litigated. The moment I said the word "scam", John continued his scamming language then abruptly hung up. I called back, got transferred to John, who didn't answer. I called back three more times, and nobody answered the main line. By the fifth time I called, a recording stated, "Sorry. The number you dialed does not exist."
