Phone message was left for me that my debit card had been compromised. And I was to call the 800 number back. I called the 800 number back and was speaking to a person who knew my name and identified my last four of my Social Security number. He then told me there was fraud on my card and wanted me to confirm the number. I told him I would not give him my debit card number and he asked me how is he supposed to make sure there’s no fraud. I told him I was calling my local branch and I hung up after contacting my local credit union. There was no fraud on my account and they identified this as a scam call call

Someone pretending to be from my credit card company called me to tell me they believed someone attempted to use my card, made 6 charges, and they needed me to verify if I made those charges. They had my name, address, and date of birth. They asked for last 4 digits of my SSN and then asked me to verify my card number. They told me they were putting my card on hold. Then asked for the card security/pin number. I became suspicious and hung up. They tried to call me back but I didn't answer. Upon calling my credit card company directly I learned there were no suspicious activities on my account and I was probably scammed.
