Received a call on Memorial Day from man who said he was from Eversource. He stated that my payment from last month did not go through. He said they changed payment plan and that Eversource only used Zelle for payment. Stated that if I didn't pay immediately my gas would be turned off within 45 minutes. I hung up and called the Police. When I told him what transpired, he was sure it was a scam and took the info down. I also called Eversource which stated they were closed for Holiday.

Received a call on a Saturday from Eversource. A recording said my power would be shut off in 30 minutes if I did not make a payment. I pushed "1" to talk to someone and spoke with a man named "Dean" at Extention 2009. He asked me to verify my account number. I said, "You called me!, why would I need to identify myself?" I also pulled up my account online and confirmed that my balance was paid. I told him "I can see online my balance is paid, what address are you calling about?" He said he needed me to verify my account number before he answered me. I told him fine, I will call Eversource directly and confirm it was a legitimate call, I asked for his name and extension. I called Eversouce using an actual bill, and they say they are closed and to call Monday.
