Looking for support for new update from Familtreemaker mackiev got familytreemakersuppor.com and didn’t realize that it was not the same. Started a chat was told I hadn’t actually gotten the update and that he could make me a deal with the new update and free updates for two years. I was surprised but since ancestry bought the software I thought maybe something had changed. He charged my credit card took control of my computer. Said it would take 15 minutes. I could see he making the changes necessary for the download but then it was taking too long and I became suspicious. I removed his ability to control my computer told him to refund my money and that if anything happens to any of my accounts I will know where it came from. I hung up and immediately changed my banking pass word and called the credit card company. I have now gotten an email that says they are refunding my money but it hasn’t shown up on my credit card account yet.
