Individual called me claiming he was debt collector acting on behalf of a Mastercard issued by a bank I have never heard of ( let alone had a credit card issued by ). He said the debt was from 2019. This individual knew my street address, d.o.b, and most disturbingly the last four digits of my social security card. I called the bank associated with my Mastercard and agent assured me I have no outstanding debt on that account. I have not received any snail mail or email regarding any debt and my credit score is 830.

Also interesting is that the phone number this individual called me from is active and this individual answers stating Jenkins Agency ( or something like that ). This whole situation has obviously been rather disturbing to me and I’m wondering if I’m a victim of identity theft.
