The caller referred to himself as windows. He then made the following statement. “You’re on the computer right now right?”

I was shocked. It was a voyeristic statement he made.

My initial reaction was, “You better not, I’m going to report you.”

He disconnected the line shortly after. I called the number back and a man answered the call. I stated I’m glad there was a person that answered because this is being reported.” I disconnected the call and blocked the number. It was not the same voice. The person that called had an Indian accent. The person answering the call did not have an Indian accent.

The person called claiming they are with Microsoft support and that my computer has malware/spyware. They will continue to give you instructions on how to give them access to your computer (DON't DO IT)

I could barley understand what he was saying. I think his name was Ronald. He had a very thick Indian accent.

I have received numerous call in the past several days regarding a warning that someone is hacking our computer. They profess that they are the Windows department that has the program capable of discovering the hackers before they strike and use information contained in our computer. They claim they do not charge for their services. They encouraged me to access my computer so they could guide me in preventing this hacker activity. I do not feel they are illegitimate and hang up on them. This morning the same man called back and wanted to know why I hung up on him.

Call received from "Windows" claiming my computer was sending them messages regarding a virus and spyware. When I said I didn't think there was a problem like this, and I asked if there was a number I could call back at, the person hung up.

I received a call from a restricted number, when I answer there is a long pause then someone with a heavy accent tells me they are from Windows and that there are errors on my computer that need to be corrected.
