Vestel Logistics Co. Reports & Reviews (3)

I applied for a job as a Project Manager for a shipping company that is opening an office in the US they are based in Europe. I filled out a long questionnaire (same as interview questions) and turned it in to see if I would be considered for the training program. The training program is about 3-4 weeks and you get a training section every day M-F to study and on Fridays you receive a test, in addition to your study material for that weeks study guides. The 5th week is supposed to be a trip to NY (their main office in the states) all expenses paid to study with all the other top applicants. After completion of the training program you are then accepted as a W-2 employee. I am in the 3rd week of study when I got approached for part-time work with the company that pays $400 a week. They were in need of someone to buy supplies for a new office in Europe (but not one of the offices in the US). They then ask that you take money out of their "corporate" account and put into your credit card or bank account and you purchase all the office supplies and ship them. I believe this to be a scam because I am sure the initial funds are from stolen accounts. The "employee" would be out all of the costs because they were purchased with your accounts and you wouldn't even have the items because you have shipped them out. It's a VERY elaborate scam and for people that are not savvy to scammers can get taken. It's really a shame that people are trying to scam individuals looking for work - especially, since some could be out of work for months and already on limited funds. I have all backup emails and correspondence as well.

Initially it was for employment as a project manager for a logistics company. They sent study guides for their procedures and customs etc. I had one conversation on the phone for less than 3 minutes and the person on the other end was immature, so much so that they reminded me of speaking to a teenager. English was not their native language, but there was ZERO business communication aptitude. There are supposedly other people that are sending me emails, and other locations of the business, but I've contacted them, and there's either no answer, or it goes to a generic VM with no business identification.

The website is incomplete, and outdated. After inspecting the web code, it all appears hard-coded, instead of gathering business info/data from procedural operations/algorithms. The code is VERY simple, which doesn't mean anything by itself, but as for the level of their supposed business its woefully inept.

I also decided to track the IP address of the host location, which was in the Ukraine, not in Denmark where the business HQ is supposedly located.

Nothing 'wrong' has really happened yet, but everything is very suspicious. None of the locations, nor other office employees are reachable. There are claims, that I'll get paid for the training 2-4k, get air fair/accommodations to NY, NY paid for a final week of training, relocation fee's to be paid, or all office equipment sent to me.

I've just been sent a test on custom regulations and the companies procedures, and will continue with the 'process' and get as much details and hopefully add to this report.

I received an email from a "Joy Hunt" with the email below. I was very suspicious, website is weak, and every time I called the number it was "unavailable" leave a number. They also ask for references (I'm guessing to target other people). They also ask you to fill out a contract. See the contract attached. They always stay in contact with you via Email, sending weekly training materials. At first glance it looks legit. This company is also acting under another alias. The reason I know its fraud is another person reported this same scam in another post her on the ScamPulse.com website. SEE BELOW FOR EMAIL
