On Friday, I got a Facebook message from my cousin, who told me she had gotten an SSA grant due to Covid and the Pandemic. She said she had gotten her money in a couple of days. She gave me a number to call. A man answered, he didn't have an accent. He told me to text him. He said is name was William B. Long. He told me to get $150,000 I would have to give him $3000. He asked for cash but wouldn't give me the mailing address. I gave him my Social Security number. He texted all Friday evening. On Saturday evening, he texted again, asking why I hadn't sent him the money. I told him it was a scam, and I wasn't sending the money.

Fake Social security call- i am sick of getting these calls.

These scammers call and say your social security number has been compromised and will leave you a message to call them at 209-255-2299. I called them because I was curious and they answer saying they are the Social Security Administration and they give a name and badge number. I pressed them with a couple of questions and they hung up.
