Sent $600 to Eddie Holmes for a kitten. I did not receive my kitten.

On a website, we had found a kitten named Sarah in Texas. We had reached out and were sent videos and pictures of the cat. The cat seemed very cheap considering the price of other British shorthairs. It also included vet expenses and whatnot. They sent all sorts of pictures that looked genuine, including pictures of the mom. After falling in love with the cat and the paying $600 through Zelle, I received a text from Compass Logistics. They informed me of the cat and how it was too young to travel without a $990 thermal crate, stating that they would refund the money upon arrival of the cat. I requested a picture of the cat inside the crate for proof, in which they sent a picture of feral cats inside crates. Which was another red flag, as well as some of the emails calling the cat the wrong name. After sending the thermal crate money, they started demanding more. They then asked for $1500 for insurance. I finally realized what was going on and I refused to pay. They then said that if we didn’t pay for insurance, they would send the cat to the shelter, all the while pulling at my heart strings.

I lost $1590
Everything was a scam.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

It started by looking for a cat we’ve been searching for. We sent our info for Contact and the next day they replied for all the info they needed to make sure the cat was going to a good home. They sent numerous pictures of cat and videos. We fell in love with the cat and they asked for Zelle to register the cat and start the shipping process. All contact by email, even though they tried to reach me by text I called the number and no answer. I paid $650.00 for the cat, they then said a shipping company will call me the next day for instructions. The shipping company called and requested $950.00 for an electric shipping crate for insurance and will return the money upon arrival of the cat with the courier so we sent them the money via Zelle. I started having suspicions already about that but my girlfriend seemed so excited and happy we didn’t hesitate hoping to get Lily. After sending them a payment they said to screenshot and send it to them via email. They were responding promptly until they took over 30min to respond after the money was sent which all red flags started to appear to me and researched their shipping company.

ATRAXLOGISTIC.US which, looking them up had more red flags and saw on Yelp a lady saying scam scam scam. This is just outright heinous, especially since we were expecting a new family member with all the pictures and videos of the cat. We contacted our bank right away was a loss of over $1,500, plus the heartbroken eyes of my girlfriend expecting a cat today.

I asked them about the kitten at the end of March and I was told that she has 9 weeks. So I started talking with them and I couldn't find out where they are because either wanted to pick her up by myself they still refuse the answer and they told me that they cans ship me her. When I refused because I feel it is too much stress for her, they started asking me do I want her or no. Finally, I refuse. Recently, month later I email to them again but using different email because on their website she still has 9 weeks so I thought it just not updated.. It occurs that she still has 9 weeks and nothing change. Stay aware from them, it's a scam. There in no contact information, localization and they not even use their names to sign.

I found Paws British Shorthair Home Cattery on Adopt-A-Pet and they were selling British Shorthair kittens. I should have known better but I contacted them and expressed my interest to purchase a kitten. Eddie Holmes was the contact person that emailed me back and they sent me a sales contract. I signed the sales contract and the scanned and emailed back. Upon receipt of the contract Eddie sent me the information to make my on-line payment via Zelle. I proceeded to make my online payment through Zelle for the amount of $600.00. Two days passed and Eddie emailed me and said that everything was in order and that they were going to be shipping the kitten via either Delta or American Airlines the following day. It has been 4 days now and not a word, I have been completely ghosted by this scammer. I also found that they are connected to another website adverstising British Shorthair kittens %50 off for a one time special for first time buyers. This is a scam.
