I ordered a pet from an online seller over a facebook group and they must be working together. The online seller took $200 from me via zelle and said they are using this company to ship the animal and that the $200 was what “she” quoted me for the pet and shipping. Next thing I know this company messages me with a tracking number via text and a weblink and proceeds to ask me for $500 for a “special crate rental” and then another $1000 for insurance claiming it would be refundable. I stupidly paid the $500 and then that’s when they suddenly brought up the unexpected and untold insurance of $1000 and when I tried to cancel same-day within an hour of the transaction they said I simply wouldn’t get the pet. On all 3 occasions, I was given a different gmail email address to zelle the money to and at one point when I asked why they don’t take credit cards, they tried to send me a payment link to a site called flutterwave.com that I’d also never heard of. Upon googling, it’s a payment portal that many African/Nigerian scammers use. Everything about the transaction was sketchy. They took my money, stopped communicating, blocked me on facebook and I got nothing. I had to call my bank sobbing.

This scam is known as a puppy scam, and it involves fraudsters disguising themselves as legitimate Schnauzer breeders. Mark Schnauzer Home – Schnauzer Puppies for Sale Worldwide, advertising puppys online, and asking potential buyers if they are interested in the offer. Markschnauzerhome.com will then ask the buyer to pay for delivery, but the puppy never arrives, and the buyer is left out of pocket.

Judy Bentley, an admin on "Poodle For Adoption And Rehoming" (Facebook), scammed me out of $700 via Zelle payment for the adoption of a dog that doesn't exist. The next steps in their scam is the use of https://delta-pet-delivery.com/, a fraudulent Delta Air website demanding more payments for the delivery of a dog that doesn't exist. Upon further review, Judy Bentley is a Facebook admin on numerous fake pet rehoming adoption accounts. The Zelle account they used to scam me with is "Justenna Parker 267- 912-2757".

Went online to search breeders. Looked at many but found this one…sent inquiry…got response..not pushy so proceeded…price was reasonable so I proceeded..picked out puppy..sent info to me…sent me steps to follow for transport of puppy….paid 730 thru Zelle to FosuPoku. First payment 480. Then told to send shipping to Kabena at FOSUPOKU…300…….i did all along foolishly thinking all good….i was then told puppy was now in my name…i was told then to wait for shippers instruction. Shipper asked for shipping info. Address etc…said all good…then I got email from shipper USHIPpettransit.com that a crate was needed and I would have to pay $995 for REFUNDABLE crate required by law…..I got angry and said no…get it from breeder….got email immediately from breeder saying all good..pay it it’s refundable…I said No……then got email from transport threatening me with animal abuse since puppy is in my name…THE LIGHT WENT ON AND I realized SCAM…BREEDER THEN SENT ME ANOTHER REQUEST..he was in hospital with cancer so I should send refundable money and his son would go pay shipper….his sob story kept getting worse….i can’t express how sad but angry I got…I threatened him with Bbb, trade commission etc….very well knowing I lost my money and no pup…to satisfy myself I sent another inquiry about puppy with a different email….RECEIVED ANOTHER EMAIL ABOUT their dogs…same as in the beginning

AC Lineage was supposedly hired by a dog breeder that I purchased a dog from to deliver the dog to me. There was to be no cost for this, but in the morning they made me send a $700 “refundable” fee for insurance and right after receiving that payment they said I had to rent a crate for a “refundable” $1000. I questioned both of these fees and they and the breeder said the dog could not be delivered without them, they were standard, etc. Finally after sending the $1000 they immediately told me there is a $500 city fee. I refused to pay, and they agreed, and said the dog was on the way and would arrive between 5-6pm on Thursday the 19th.

At 6pm I started calling as I had not heard anything more and the dog had not arrived.

By 10pm still nothing.

The next morning I have an email telling me I have to pay the $500 fee because they are in Yuma Az and can’t leave without it.

We finally got in touch again and told them we were involving the police which made them hang up and take down the original dog rescue Facebook site.

This business is clearly a front/ scam.

We reached out via the contact form on the website about a puppy we wanted to purchase. In retrospect all the red flags are there that this was a scam. We did not receive the puppy.

The scammer offered me a 14 month old Havanese puppy when I requested information from her website on Facebook. She sent several pictures of the puppy, a certificate of transfer of ownership, all through Facebook messenger. I paid her vet (through Zelle) to have the puppy spayed and microchipped. I paid (Zelle) to have the puppy groomed. I made a deposit for half of the fee for the puppy also through Zelle, all equaling $960. Originally she was going tomcharge me $185 tomdeliver the puppy to me, but then came up with a story that her daughter go to the hospital so she could no longer deliver her to me and would be using a courier service. I said OK and when the courier service supposedly had puppy, they were going to charge me $1100 for a crate rental because the breeder had not provided a proper airplane crate. They said I would get a refund right away and the puppy be here within three hours. I hesitated but was so excited to get the puppy that I Zell them $1100. Then 15 minutes later the freight company said they needed $300 and of course I would get it refunded the minute the puppy was delivered.. Did not agree to pay $2300 and I never got the puppy of course.

This company worked with conjunction to a puppy company saying we needed to use them to ship the dog after we already paid for everything. We just filed for the puppy company and that name is called Diamond Doberman Homes.com

They said we need to pay 2300.00 for shipping the puppy because the crate the dog was put in was a wire crate and wouldn't be suitable for transportation. Then they said we need to pay a deposit in weird ways, like a Walmart Gift Cards, Western Union or PayPal friends and family. We already lost 904.00 to the dog company. So no way we were going to pay this company a fee. They also have a website set up that looks professional and someone will pick up the phone, but again, person doesn't sound professional and just getting the same ways to pay. I called the Airlines over in MD and they said they never have heard of the company before and unfortunately this happens all the time.

The website looked legit and the emails were professional and detailed. They asked for my name, address, and phone number as part of the "sale" and even had a complete contract. Everything seemed to be legitimate. But after sending the money they stopped contacting me

The person contacted me true email everthing looked really until the person give me multiple PayPal emails to send him money. The money was send. The next the dog was on the air port and I’m getting a call 45 m before the flight about that I need to buy a special cage for the dog with air conditioners for 2000 dollars ( that I was not informed about at all that something that I would need to pay to transport the dog to me) and I almost pay that 2000 dollars but good for my credit card and my bank that they didn’t let that happened. But that doesn’t change the fact that i paid $900 dollars for the dog.

Love Lead Labradors is offering puppies on Facebook and requesting 50% deposit on zelle beforehand. Breeder stating puppies are not available until the following week. Breeder would not give me any personal information, until I requested a contract. The contract was sent via email which has the Breeders name as Demia Sorrell. I searched the Breeders name on Google and found a post on the BBB. I decided then not to proceed with the electronic deposit of $450.00. They are asking $900 per puppy Labrador.

The website is using images from other locations in attempt to sell cane corso dogs. The prices state that they ship the dogs anywhere, with shipping included in the pricing. The "family" listed in their bio is taken from another cane corso instagram.

Online puppy vender for Rottweiler puppies. Paid for the dog through Zelle. Vendor claimed to have dropped off the dog though a dog service (leaders pet LLC). Now pet service called stating I needed to purchase a hyperthermic crate to transport the dog. Once I paid that they said I needed to pay vaccines at the airport. Now this wasn’t adding up So I called the airlines and they have no pets in their possession. The reason how they got so many payments for me is because they promised some funds will be refundable once dog is in my possession. All this happened within a 4day time span. They sent pics of the dog, the crate, vaccine paper work everything looked legit. But it was all fake.

Buying a Bordercollie puppy from Anita Cornly the admin of the Facebook group “Bordercollie puppies for adoption” we sent 600 dollars to 847-738-4031 Kevin Azpeytia “her partner”. Then we got an email from “[email protected]” asking for $500 for shipping insurance.

We realized it was a scam at this point.
