Needtags.com is a Rip off Company

This place should be illegal! When you go to google to search DMV to pay your tags this is the first page that pops up. It looks legit like the dmv website. If you don't pay attention to the address bar you won't even know it's not the DMV page. They charge you an extra $80 fee ontop of your regular fee! They are frauds! They tried to make 3 different seperate transactions to my credit card! Make sure you go to the real DMV page. They don't charge you an extra fee! Or better yet go to stores that have the DMV Kiosk they only charge like $2-$3 extra to process it & you get your tags right there! Avoid these frauds! They say they charge so much because they need to pay their workers, yet their customer service is trash! They never answer their phones!

I personally had a great experience. i overnighted my old title to them. The next day I had my new registration card and stickers. The title came a bit later, but that's understandable. It gets mailed out only by the DMV in Sacramento. Just my 2 cents. Worth every penny.

On March 3, 2021, NeedTags.com charged me $99.95 for a transfer of auto title without actually doing the title transfer. I asked for a refund without success. The website advertises “fast, secure and easy-to-use vehicle title transfer service licensed by the CA DMV.” I completed the online application for a promised “New CA Certificate of Title" and mailed documents to NeedTags. My credit card was was billed $99.95. The documents I sent were returned. There was no title transfer.
