they wanted me to pay $200 for a reg. fee with a Google play card. Then asked to take photos front and back. Then a guy with a deep voice wanted me to pay another $750 to cover the taxes on the grant...RED ALERT. Be aware of a (202) 844.0621 1st caller 2nd (929) 458-2314.

On Sunday, May 22, 2016, I started receiving calls form a man with an Indian accent calling from 202-464-2435. he said I was eligible for a government grant. He told me to go to Western Union or Money Gram and send $250 and then I would receive $9,000, plus be reimbursed for the $250. he told me I could go to their website www.mygovernmentgrant.com to get more information. The second call was from a woman. They have my name, address and phone number. But they didn't know where I lived. They asked if I was close to a Moneygram or Western Union office. I did not send the money.

I myself just received the same call asking for the same $250 fee to activate an ID code. For a government personal grant in the amount of $9000. It was a two person phone call, both with a very heavy India accent. When and the second call the woman said that the fee needed to be on a certain prepaid card and that I was to call her and have her on the phone when I was going to pay.. in the background I could hear many other people on phone calls like in a call center.. I did not send $ and came looking for a place to see if anyone else had the same happen..

A representative from "mygovernmentgrants.org" called my brother-in-law and said that he would be receiving a $7000 grant. The catch was that he first had to pay $239 for the transaction, but that the money would be refunded when he received the grant. When I called them back to verify, the representative wouldn't give me any real information, and then after a minute started saying that he had to go because he had a lot of important calls coming in. We kept questioning him and he hung up on us. We tried calling them back one more time to tell them that we were reporting them, and the guy who answered again got mad that we called back and said that we were disturbing him in the middle of important transactions.

I received several phone calls claiming that they were from www.mygovernmentgrants.com.

They told me that I had been chosen randomly to receive $10,200.

I would be able to get this money via Money Gram.....BUT...I would need to pay $250 up front to get the money.

There may have been other details, but I could barely understand the caller due to his very thick foreign accent.

I do not know if this is a scam.....but it sure sounds like it!
