I am currently selling my couch on Offer Up and received a message that someone was interested in purchasing. They mentioned they were buying it for their father and he would be in contact with me. Upon connecting with the “dad”, he mentioned he would pay with a cashier’s check then pick up when the money is available. I started getting worried when he later asked me to be entrusted with a “movers fee.”

Now I have stopped communicating with this person out of suspicion.
