Initially after applying for jobs on Indeed I was contacted by someone stating they were interested after seeing my resume and application for a remote data entry position. They reached out by text to my phone number from my resume. They asked me to click a link to speak online with a manager, or to download the online app from the play store and input an interview code to be contacted by the manager Jennifer Spivak. I downloaded the app from Google. The app is Signal which can be used by anyone to communicate but is most known for scammers usage. I found this out after. I reached out through the app and was prompted for the code. Once I entered the code a rep identifying as Jennifer Spivak reached out and explained the online interview and q and a process. I completed it all with general info. They did not ask for any financial info other than the name of my bank but no acct info. I was pre approved for employment through my resume and after the interview was asked to hold for approx. 14 min. She came back and stated after extensive review by the other company hiring mgmt that I was hired. She disclosed benefits, salary, bonuses etc. Said I would communicate with her for the next 7 days through the app and would receive an offer letter through email with more details and a w4. I was to complete and send back through email and would receive a check for the home office computer, supplies printer and scanner. They included very specific specs for these items. Once check was received I would take it to my bank, deposit it and it would clear in two days. I would withdrawl the funds, purchase my equipment and contact them to begin training. They are very convincing. They also asked me to upload a short 20 sec video of myself stating I would obligate to using the check to purchase the office equipment. I was leary but she stated this was ironically because the company had been ripped off previously by potentially employees who used the check fir their own purpose. Next day I received the email. I sent the attached offer letter, signed by the Company's listed BOD CEO to a separate file as not to download it to my device. I checked the company on ScamPulse.com and it was not accredited. I feel violated. They have not received any money or bank acct info from me but my name, address and phone number are on my resume and they have a 20 sec video of me with my picture. Red flags Once I screenshotted and reviewed all the online interaction conversation and interview q and a were misspelled words or incomplete sentences. Also the email offer letter had .org and the interview info had .com. Some of the job offer info like probationary period was slightly different. DO NOT TRUST an employer or anyone who will only reach out by email or online. A phone number and name should be provided for the business who you can verify info with. This business is not accredited. Do your research first not after. I regret responding at all but it is very hard to be skeptical of every single potential employment offer when legitimately trying to find honest employment. I reached out separately to the actual company website and inquired about an HR contact where I could verify the manager and offer letter. I did not hear back. This employer is suspect and whoever is out there scamming is dangerous. I am worried that they have my photo. Any employer on sites like Indeed etc should communicate with you through that platform. Even phonecalls may be potential scams. We all know we can call anyone from our pajamas at home and say anything. Don't give them the satisfaction!!!!!

I was reached out for a job offer, I’m not sure how they got my number. The scammer said Charisse Sheridan would interview me. I went through the interview and got a job offer for a remote job for the company Intrance Medical Systems Inc. They sent me a check for 4710 dollars that I deposited into my CaptialOne account. I felt like something was off so I tried to cancel the deposit up the banks customer service said I’d have to wait till it was processed. A few days later my bank account was in the negative so I contacted the banks customer service and reported fraud. They removed the fraudulent check and are currently sending my money in a check to me because they closed my account. I have blocked all scammer numbers and account but I am afraid that since I gave my full name, address, and a video of myself that the scammer might try to take my identity.
