Homeowners Association Reports & Reviews (3)

This person tried to call me claiming it was from Homeowner's Association, and asked if I can hear me. I said "Yes". And then it wasn't until I hung up till I found out about the scam. So far as I know nobody's contacted me demanding money, but I wanted to get this sent out there before it's too late.

This number has called me twice now. It is always a gentleman who identifies himself as the "Homeowners Association" and wants to talk about issues with my home. He then asks something like "can you hear me"? The first time I was confused and told him so, and then the second time I informed him he has the wrong number. Both times I have immediately been hung up on after my first response, since I failed to say "yes". This is most definitely a scam as I do live in a HOA neighborhood, but I am not on any contact list nor would they ever have my number. Also, HOA's tend to send out notices before calling (at least, mine does). So again, this has to be a scam.

- Overland Park, KS, USA

Call saying a recorded line is used and can I hear them. I said "yes" and immediately they hung up. Person identified their name as "Brook" but it was likely a recorded message looking for a "yes" answer.
