I received an email, requesting my résumé for a job position. Then was told I got the position and was contacted by text from my training supervisor who then advised me to buy printer that I would be reimbursed for they sent me a check had me deposited and send the available funds of $2500 immediately to purchase the company equipment needed. I sent it and was advised by my bank that the check was fraudulent and I was responsible for the negative amount of $2500. I then contacted them to let them know. They said it was just a miscommunication or an error and I would be getting a check from the company directly to reimburse me for that beer and then they stop talking to me.

I was also contacted by James Peterson for a Data Entry Clerk Position paying 1350/wk for a 35 hr. work week. This was immediately suspicious to receive an implied guaranteed job of $71,500 per year for 35 hours of work a week, that's almost $45 an hour. I also have no data on applying for this job and I keep accurate records of who I apply with so I don't wast time reapplying to jobs. The website is a .org (also suss) but it looks hijacked because the name of the business is continually referred to as Mile Retirement with an email address of [email protected] It seems it is a grooming email to get you used to answering benign questions before the more personal ones are asked if you accept the job. The only suspicious question was "Which financial institution do you bank with, so we can determine the payroll portal to put you on" This is a big red flag for an introductory pre-interview email. My spidey senses say 'guaranteed scam'.
