- Northridge, CA, USA

I received an email to be a "Kroger Mystery Shopper", November 28, 2018. Then another one on January 10, 2019, saying "you'll receive payment enclosed with the assignment memo through USPS mail with 5 business days which will cover the shopping at Kroger store and it will also your employment remuneration which is $300 per assignment". On January 18, 2019, I received a check for $1,900.00. The "Assignment Memo" said go to Kroger, Walmart and Target and purchase various gift cards of between $500 and $550 each. I called Kroger on January 18, 2019 to see if this is a scam. The person said it is a scam. They don't have a "Kroger Mystery Shopper" program. I have attached the whole "Assignment Memo". BEWARE: when you receive a check before you even do anything, it is too good to be true!
