The website itself looks like an Amazon knock off. However, they have next to no customer service, no way to unsubscribe from the daily spam emails they send out, nor do they have an option to delete an account once one is made. Upon googling how to delete my account, I found an entire website dedicated to their poor business practices. Based on the reviews, it appears that they process 2-3 orders correctly, then "lose" orders in the mail and charge extra fees or only partially return payment.

I purchased a few iphone accessories. The company says they were mailed April 24. It is June 1 and I still don't have these items. Their so-called tracking service says they were mailed. There is no way to contact the company except through their support center, opening a ticket. I realize now that they have an online chat service that looks like it has not been functional since 2016. They took my $ and never delivered the product! They just reply to my complaint with a comment that it was mailed back. No discussion of sending another product since it did not arrive or giving me my $ back. Lesson learned not to deal with any company like this. This is the 2nd scam I have expereinced from a Chinese company. I took risk because purchase was small. Not again!

I received a scam email on Tuesday, April 17, 2:25 central standard time, confirming an order with GearBest for an item in the amount of $219.99, showing the payment method as PayPal, with my business email account i.d.. There was a fake shipping address and phone number. This fake confirmation had a link saying "If it (the purchase) wasn't made by you click here to cancel the order via paypal." When that link is clicked, a page appears as PayPal asking for personal information in order to gain access to your account. The information form includes social security number, credit, debit and bank account numbers, etc.. I did not fill out that information and tried to contact the supposed vendor GearBest, but found they are unreachable. Their web site is unresponsive for an online chat, and contact cannot be made via the phone number given for customer service. I checked my PayPal account and found no charge had been made. I was advised to change my password and security questions to protect my account. This is an elaborate scam, made to look like an order confirmation from GearBest, a company which has received numerous bad reviews. The scammer was dumb enough to show "Order Gearbeast" in the subject line, along with misspelled words and erroneous phrasing in the body of the email.

I ordered a few things from GearBest, and had no problems (like many others)... Until I had to send something back.

There are various problems with their system, basically making it so that the customer cannot contact the support representative for further communication after the initial "Ticket".

1. The sales representatives respond politely, but with meaningless responses that are not helpful except to get back the item they sold to you (supposedly for "Repair"), and there is no way to contact them unless they contact you.

2. If you "close" the ticket, there is no history of the transaction. 3. There is no way to find out where your item is if it has been sent in for repair, and GearBest does not tell you where it is, nor do they let you know how long it will be until you get it back, etc. Basically, once you send your item in for repair, it is gone for good.

4. Representatives give their contact information as "gearbest.com", there is no way to contact them directly, like a phone number or email.

5. Representative ask you to send your item uninsured. Possibly this is so that it will be easier to steal it from you, since there is no record of it being sent, and then resell it on the black market in China, where you have just sent it.

My own experience: I have had a horrible experience with GearBest. They basically stole my phone. There is no way to get it back, because they provide no direct method of contact, and they had me send it in for repair, but then never sent it back or contacted me about it. There was only one option for the "Ticket" email transaction, and that was to close the "Ticket". So I closed it and opened another. However, upon closing an email "Ticket" transaction, you delete what is left of the email history. That is besides the fact that all that I had written was erased, and only what the GearBest Rep had written was there. So there was no full picture of the issue. Now I have a printout, but that's it.

If this happens to you, be sure to take screenshots of your messages, because they will disappear.

Now I have opened yet another ticket, complaining about the loss of my phone, but they are asking me for the order number and ticket number, which does't exist anymore. Their contact information is the useless support page. Try it for yourself if you don't believe me. Try messaging them with a ticket and then close the ticket and see what happens. Whatever you do... !!!!!!BEWARE!!!!!!!

I ordered and purchased a cell phone from the gearbest.com website, I received a defective product and sent it back for a replacement or refund. About a month later, I contacted the company, I've been told that it did not receive the returned product and will not offer me a replacement or refund.
