This person called claiming to be from Eversource and they are about to shut off our electricity Alex Bradshaw claimed to be a supervisor and would like immediate payment from our credit card to keep the electricity from being shut off. Someone has been dispatched to arrive within 30 minutes.

Received a call 9/14/22 at my business number ************ from a rep claiming to be call about a disconnect that was schedule in 2 hrs. He left 1-800-215-7819 ext 1009-Alex. I do not have a business account with Eversource. When I called, the voice system says it is Eversource. He could not find my account with the phone number because I do not have one. I called Eversource and they verified I do not have an account associated with that number.

This number called pretending to be Eversource energy. Said service would be shut off within 30 minutes due to non-payment. Asked for credit card information and account #. Eversource is closed today for the holiday and do not ask for immediate payment over the phone. In addition, they have suspended immediate shut off due to the pandemic. beware

The scammer left a voicemail, demanding immediate payment to prevent disconnection of electric service to the house.

Scammer left computer voicemail threatening to cut off service for nonpayment.

"Randy Williams" a field technician from Eversource was calling to speak to the owner of the building regarding a disconnection notice that utilities were to be disconnected within an hour. I was informed to call the billing and collections department at 1-800-631-3847. He then asked me to read the number back to him to be sure it was correct. I asked him to verify his name to which he responded "it won't be me that you need to contact, it will be the billing department." I told him that is fine but I wanted his full name to verify his employment with Eversource. I then asked him to verify the phone number that he had given me for the billing department as it was different than the number posted on the Eversource website/billing page. He told me that the number he provided was correct and he would "put a 15-20 hold on the disconnection order to give me time to contact the building owner and call the billing and collections department to make a payment."

The caller ID showed Hartford CT 860-590-7432 - I attempted to call the number back (with *67) and the number was disconnected so the caller ID was spoofed.

Received two phone calls from 1-267-296-9095 stating they represented Eversource. The second call..a message was left stating a " "Disconnection Order placed due to nonpayment history," " press two to transfer to our billing department or contact 267-296-9095 to avoid disconnection..."

After checking my account.. there is no overdue balance.

I did not engage with the entity.

I have to preface this with what happened about 6 years ago.

We had somehow lost a letter telling us our utility bill was past due and they were going to shut off the electricity. To do this they notified my landlord who had to open a door into the utility room to give them access. At that time we cleared up the 'misunderstanding' and gave them a check.

So fast forward my partner had been hospitalized for back surgery and I was home and got a call - the man on the other end was really rude and said in 20 minutes they were going to cut off the power to our apartment and business. I panicked and called my partner- he couldn't remember if he had paid the bill or not. I told him Eversource was going to call him as I'd given them his cell number. They called him and needed $490 immediately. My partner said the man kept him on the phone and told him to go to the bank and use Zelle but for some reason Zelle wouldn't work. The 20 minutes were almost up. However his cell number appeared on the account and a name Vladamir

He directed my partner to go to CVS and get a Money Pack card and transfer it to him. We have his name and a cell phone . I contacted Money pack and gave them the details. Sadly that $500 was all we had. We have a business but due to covid and everything money is so scarce. We reported to Eversource and they said its a scam. We actually have paid up to date. But its quite terrifying when a person isn't well and gets a call like that.

Left vm that service was about to be terminated due to non payment and that I should press 2 to be connected to business office or call back number listed above. I went online to Eversource and logged into my account to be sure that my account was in good order and current which it is.

The scammer left several voicemail about my Eversource account issue. Requested to call back to avoid disconnection of the service. I dialed the number back (big mistake). He spent time explaining although i paid on my side, there must be issue between the bank and my account. The money might go to other account accidentally. He asked me to verify my payment and confirmation number for the past three months. Towards the end, he said a technician is on the way to disconnect the service today. They will investigation and get back to me. However, if i want to prevent disconnection today, i must pay first and they will reimburse me and credit me three months bill via certified check. He threatened i need to show the immediate payment to the dispatched service supervisor. Then asked me to transfer money to an account (someone named Gloria) via Zelle. I did it and asked to send him a screen shot of the confirmation. I realized at that point it is likely to be a scame. Asked him what's my account number - he made up a number.... Too late, the money already went out. I reported to Eversource and my bank right away.

I received a message left on my cell phone at 1:46pm on 3/18/21. Caller left message that my account was seriously delinquent and service is scheduled for termination. Caller phone number was (860)288-2332. Knowing I don't currently have service with Utilities in my name, I told the company they must have called the wrong number. They then hung up on me. I then called Eversource directly and was informed that there is a scam going on, and they confirmed no service currently in my name/ phone number.

Called saying a bill from Eversource was due for a electric bill when I sold my house 6 months ago and actually received a check in the mail for credit since new homeowner took over bill. Then they stated there was a $500 dollar fee I had to pay for a transfer of the meter in the house! I hung up.

We've been receiving the same automated call for a few weeks stating it was Eversource & we were due to be disconnected in 30 minutes. Because of the number of calls, I pressed 1 to speak with someone today rather than just hang up. He stated that he was from Eversource and wanted payment of $490 on our past-due bill. When I told him that wasn't possible, I would check the website, he got angry & hung up. I called Eversource to report and they've received several complaints the last few weeks about this same call.

Received a phone call from "Eversource Electric Company" That our electricity would be shut off in 30 mins for non-payment since October. This is a Business and I have the Bank statements to prove I paid. They said they sent 2 shut-off notices in the mail. I told the man "Lucas" on the phone at 800-799-7591 (which answers "thank you for calling Eversource Customer Service") that I have bank statements that the bill were paid. He said it would take 2-3 days for their credit department to figure out if I paid. I was to pay $900.00 in cash to keep the electricity on and if they found out I paid I was to get the $900.00 back plus 3-45 days free service. I was to go to a store in Enfield CT to a Kisok and call Lucas and he would text me a bar code so I would deposit the money in the Kisok.

I told him this is a scam and I had a friend that worked at Eversource and I was going to check with her. He told me to do so. Kept telling me I had 30 minutes until the power was shut off.

Claimed to be eversource and that they were shutting off power within the hour due multiple attempts reached by mail

Called pretending to be Eversource claiming I was behind on payments and power was going to be cut if I did not call and send money. Ironically had just paid this month's bill the day before so I knew this was a scam.
