This company scammed me out of $664.50. They're super nice when they're taking your money, and get NASTY when you question what they've been doing with your money and how they tell you a different story every time you call. I was told there was NO interest and then later found out there was. And they didn't do the service they claimed they were going to do. First they said they WOULD refund me my money, then the CEO calls me, and is SCREAMING at me the WHOLE time that I would NEVER get my money back and how I'm a horrible person for even making that request. I continued to tell him to stop yelling, and that I keep having to lower my call volume. Still screaming he said, "I'M NOT SCREAMING AT YOU". How unprofessional, even if you THINK I'm in the wrong when I'm not. The yelling traumatized me and triggered my PTSD. I had to step away from this so I could work through what the CEO caused me to experience by his verbal abuse and attack. I still want my money back and will continue to post on this site so everyone knows how they are scammers who SCEAM at their customers when they question their business practices. He would NOT have screamed at me like if I was a man.

I contacted a student service company online to assist with my student loan debt relief. I was told that after paying 1346.00 at 49.00 a month, my student loans will be forgiven. I entered the program May 2017, and had auto pay set up with my checking account. I was told that I should receive a hard copy of documents stating the agreement and the status of my account. Which I never did receive. What I did receive was a letter from the DOE stating that my student loan was in default and I need to contact them. When I did contact them, they had no record of any repayment program associated with my account. I spoke with Michelle at Equitable Acceptance who claims that the company that started the services for me went out of business shortly after they paid the 1346.00 to them on my behalf. When I stated that I was scammed, she said that she doesn't believe that I was scammed! I still owe even more on my student loan and equitable says that I still owe them!!! I'm going to go thru the DOE, moving forward, to begin repayment of my loan, minus the scam! Equitable Acceptance and Titan Prep should be avoided, for your own protection and sanity!!

Hello there I'm sorry to hear about your problem. Well, I can relate... I've been dealing with it for 20 years. And some how I still has a balance due according to them. I had been using Equitable Accept but they recently changed me to Titan Prep to handle my loan repayment. And I didn't even get my papers and everything qualified yet I haven't been recertified this year because three different occasions I've tried speaking with the fellow on the phone and going through everything and trying my best but this man was being the most difficult every time there was a problem there was no way to send the information and convenience was never there it was a headache it was just nothing but problems and for years I've been thinking I've been being scammed and every time I tried to get help it seems like it just put me right on to this path that I ended up getting led to this point and I've been so suspicious I have been thinking I've been being scammed for a long bit here now and I don't really know what to do do you have any suggestions of any other assistance programs to assist me and the names of the companies? I hope you can help I appreciate your time and reading this and I appreciate your answer if you do have one which I hope thank you.

The company said they paid Performance SLC $1550.00 so they could help enroll me in loan forgiveness. Performance SLC said they, "had access to resources and information regular people don't have. They contracted (although THEY don't use that word), with Performance SLC, (and I have reported them also), and charged me $1550.00 for their service, to be paid at $50 a month for 36 months. After a year, my bill was still $1250.00. When I called, they told me there was interest on the account, which they NEVER told me about.

In addition, according to the Dept of Education and my loan servicer, there is NO record of me ever been enrolled in any loan forgiveness program. Performance SLC claimed to have enrolled me in an income based repayment plan. I applied for an income based repayment plan in 2010. They didn't so anything. Equitable Acceptance took $664 dollars worth of payments and now refuse to refund me the money for a service that was NEVER PROVIDED! It's all a scam. They're a fraud. They need to be put out of business. When I call to ask for my money back, they talk in circles and then tell me they CAN'T give me my money back because Performance SLC has to be the one to refund me. I get the run around. When I ask questions to clarify and tell them no service was provided, they tell me to call Performance SLC. I keep calling back asking for my money. Even if I never get it back, I'm going to keep calling and emailing them for my money, submitting complaints to the BBB, going on forums to tell everyone about their scam. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. I want them shut down. I am rightfully upset that I have paid money to companies that did not live up to their promise on their own website. They need to be stopped and shut down.

Equitable Acceptance based out of Minnesota has scammed me into paying $42.42 a month since April 2017 to repay my student loans. However, I learned this morning, after speaking to a US Department of Education representative, that this is not a legitimate company & they are NOT paying the $42.42 towards my loans, merely collecting money from me to pay for nothing. Which has resulted in my loans defaulting & effecting my credit in a negative way.

I received a text message telling me my account was flagged for student loan forgiveness. When I called he told me I didn't meet the initial requirements for it, but he could help me get a lower monthly student loan payment. I asked many questions and he had an answer for them all. He asked me for my social to verify that it was me. He then went through how he could get me a $0 monthly payment, but I would have to pay the company (Either Equitable Acceptance or Student Debt Relief, not sure which) to monitor and/or help me through this process. He then told me he'd need my FSA ID and he made me confirm my challenge questions. We moved on to him saying this company charges about $1300 for me to get this help. Broken down, it'd be about $49/month. He informed me multiple times that I would have 2 separate payments; one for their help which was the $49/month and then my student loan payment of $0/month, which could fluctuate based on my income. So after the 3 years that $1300 would be paid off, and I was ok with that decision because that's cheaper than what I was paying now, and my loan payment would be 0. He told me after 240 consecutive payments my loans would then be forgiven. He asked for my routing number and account info so that $49 could be automatically withdrawn each month. That should have been a big red flag to me, but it wasn't because he answered all my questions perfectly. I electronically signed a contract, which I read more than other contracts I've signed, and it said I had 3 days to change my decision with no penalty. After I completed these documents I googled Equitable Acceptance and read their comments on BBB. Thats when I found out it was a scam. I immediately contacted Andrew and told him I wanted to cancel. He was not happy with this decision, but he told me he'd take care of it, and I told him I wanted written proof I cancelled sent to me. He then continued to send me harassing emails telling me I'm making a mistake, people complaining probably just didn't pay their bills, told me I shouldn't read reviews on BBB because even Chase has an F rating, so on and so forth. Bottom line, he has my social, my bank info, and my student loan login. I had to change my bank account and open a new one, call FedLoan to make sure no one makes changes on my behalf, and contact the credit bureau because I'm pretty sure he did a hard inquiry on my credit. FedLoan also told me to contact FSA and change all my login info and security questions.
