This site exists for one reason: to steal your personal information to sell to identity thieves. The site looks very much like a DMV website and the domain name is www.dmv.com -- they offer links to do things like renew your driver's license, complete a background check, etc. But they don't actually offer any of those services. Rather, their goal is to get you to fill out a fake application (which asks for things like name, address, birth date, driver's license number, social security number -- the whole shebang). They charge you $25 for this, and once you do it, they send you a completed "application" to mail to the relevant agency. But in reality, all you've done is send them $25 and all the info they need to steal your identity. Be very careful!!!!

I went to this site believing I was on a dmv site to renew my drivers license. Not till the end I realized I payed for a guide. Oh well silly me $3.99 was the first charge, then 2 days go by and got another charge for $21 and some change. This website was one of the first to come up on google, and it was very misleading. Once I noticed the second charge I contacted my bank and had them stop payment of what ever guides I was suppose to be getting which I didn’t want in the first place!

I was looking to renew a drivers license on line having done so before. Some how I ended up requesting renewal from this fake DMV site run by thelicensedriver.org. Thinking I was entering cc information to order new DL I knew it was a fake as soon as the transaction finished and it said something like you have purchased your renewal instructions. Checking my bank records a couple days later I found two charges for $3.99 and a final charge for $21.99. There was absolutely no service or product provided for the charge. I have not yet contacted or contested the transaction but it is a completely fraudulent website.

Received drivers license renewal notice. Googled our state site for renewal. Somehow we linked to the scam and paid for what we thought was my dl renewal.

I visited the thelicensedriver.org through a keyword search to replace my driver's license in Texas. I paid $25 for what I thought would be a confirmation indicating delivery of my replacement to find out I received a series of vouchers for strategic alliances this company has set up. the only disclaimer I received informing me that I was not on a government site was after my purchase. They credited my card, but who else have they scammed. This is a shady site and company.

This site said it was the DOT and I could change my lisence

It used the same website design as the Wisconsin dot

Asked for last six of my social security and my drivers license,my new address, phone number and wanted my debit card number. I gave all except my debit information. Instead I used my credit card. They charged my credit card $13 and emailed me a site to down load a DOT handbook.

Who know what they did with my other information!

They are a fraud!!!!

They initially charge you 3.99 thinking you're getting your driver's license renewal. Then 2 days later charge your card again for 19.99. There's no way to contact them. They are a scam even though it is guaranteed 100% money back.

This is a fake license renewal website. When attempting to log into "gorenew.com" the fake site appears. BEWARE!!!

I attempted to use the GORENEW.com url to renew my Florida drivers license on line. This company disguised the url to mimic the FLDMV website. once on their website I clicked on renew licenses and was feed through the site under the idea that I was dealing with DMV and even submitted my debit card information because the header said Renew license. (word file with print screens). once I submitted my debit card information I expected to see a dollar amount to approve and there is nothing. they took the card information and navigated me to a page to download coupons for autozone and download florida drivers manual. only then did I go back and found a charge of $23.98 buried in a paragraph on previous page. This is very much a scam. I followed the instructions on the driver license renewal letter from Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and this companies page was right in line to take advantage of consumers .

I entered the PA registration site: www.v.pa.gov and it opened to the appropriate state website. Upon entering information about my vehicle registration I came to a section requesting payment. It suggested paying by debit to expedite the process which I did. I thought I was renewing my PA car registration but instead paid $3.99 for an unsolicited road map and some other items. I called the bank, requested a stop payment and canceled my debit card and was told that they have had several other incidents similar to mine in the last several days. I got on the getcarregistration.org website and left a message under the contact section that I had called the bank, would be reporting the charge as fraud and would be contacting the ScamPulse.com. Within a minute I received a text message " Transaction canceled! Allow 7-10 business days to show on your statement. Transaction #00000. Txt STOP to OptOut for questions 855-482-9908 The PA registration was clearly high-jacked at some point in my transaction.

I went to the California DMV website to renew my license, and somehow ended up getting redirected to driversservices.org. The look and copy on this site looked like I was still on the DMV site. They had an entry form to fill out with credit card information, etc., which I provided because I thought I was renewing my license. After entering all this personal information, I was taken to a side to download my road guide, and there was no information about how much I was charged. It turns out that I was charged $3.99 for the road guide (and I gave another $5 for cancer research). I looked online, and many others have been similarly been victimized. You think you're paying to have your licensence, and you end up with a road guide you never wanted. What's much worse it that they now have all my personal information.

Hi,

Entered DMV www.dmv.ca.gov in order to get my drivers license renewed. Try it but beware! I feel that many seniors and others are getting hijacked to enter their personal information, including their Social Security number? They are not the DMV?

Entered requested information. Entered my personal information on a site I felt was secure since I entered dmv.ca.gov?

Please shut them down. They are tricking the public to provide them with personal information, plus their credit cards, they are requesting debit cards as being the better way to expedite license? I have contacted BofA as fraudulent business, and to remove the charge off of my credit card. They have my number, plus social Security. Call or email with any additional questions. They need to be removed from scamming consumers for money.

Please be aware.

I went to the official Alabama Drivers License Renewal website and clicked the link to renew my son's drivers license. Somehow, somewhere along the way, my information got scammed by this other website, and I never saw any information about being on this other company's website. The renewal process was the same process as when I renewed my license just 2 months prior. Nowhere was there any information given about this not being the Official website, unlike now when I return to DriversServices.org, there are warnings that it's not the DMV. I went through the entire process, same as the first time, but then my browser froze for several minutes, and then finally started working again. Then, I waited for my son's drivers license to show up.

Meanwhile, I get an email from a company I've never heard of (DriversServices.org) about the purchase of a Drivers License Road Guide, something else I've never heard of. After contacting my credit card company, they give me a phone number listed on the charge, and the name "DriversServices.org" where 2 charges have shown up for $19.99 and a separate fee of $3.99. The phone number listed with the charge is different from what is on their website, which is listed as 1-866-721-7461, and a name and address of Yamazaki Media LLC, 11954 NE Glisan St #140, Portland, OR 97220, USA.

This website claims to direct you to washington driver's licence services, but instead sends you to a site that charges you $3.99 to give you some kind of "guide" to find local DMV locations. It misrepresents it's service, and only in the very small print does it show that it is not affiliated with any government agency, and is privately owned. I'm trying to get a refund, but will probably have to dispute the charge on my visa card. It is a VERY deceiving site. I clicked on "replace driver's licence" and was immediately charged, but no service was actually rendered other than offering a link to another site offering a service I did not want.

- Poulsbo, WA, USA

This site presented itself as handling vehicle registrations and appeared in Google as the same as DOL.WA. I entered my card data but the site just hung up. I refreshed and entered the data again but the same thing happened. I checked my credit card pending transactions and found two charges totally 4.99. The card company can't or won't reverse the charges but will dispute them. I got an email from the site with a link to various offers -- none of which did I follow. I cancelled the credit card.
