On October 29, 2021, I tried to sign into another tv with my amazon prime login info to watch movies. The tv gave me a web address to enter a code. The web address gave me a phone number that I needed to call in order to activate my account. There was a man with an Indian accent on the line. He said that Amazon cancelled their annual subscriptions and that I would need to pay for a 3 year or 5 year plan. They reactivated my account and changed my password; not sure how they got access to my Amazon account. This made it believable that they were Amazon. They then sent me an email with a document to sign and a fee of $209 to charge my credit card. They did charge my credit card, but my bank flagged the fee for unauthorized funds. The company on the document was named DigiMart. Amazon's fraud department verified that this was a hack by DigiMart and that they had no affiliation with Amazon. Amazon's fraud department is looking into the claim. This company promised a longer Amazon subscription, lied about Amazon changing their subscriptions and lied about being with Amazon. They had me sign a document that said I was pleased with their services. This company should be reprimanded, fined, and disbanded.
