[email protected] Reports & Reviews (1)

I received an email from Geek Squad about renewal for Windows PD 4 user license, 1 yr subscription @ 413.00(auto debit). I called 866-748-0439 and I was asked for an invoice number which I gave them. I was talking to a person possibly from India. I heard alot of talking in the background. I made a comment that I did not have a good feeling about this and said I thought this was a scam. Man got irate with me and hung up. I made the mistake and called back wanting email veriifcation that the subscription was cancelled. He mumbled something and hung up again. I then went to the best buy website. Got into a chat and retold the story. They looked up my information. They found that I had a protection plan on a stove only. There were no subscriptions for Windows license. They asked me to send the email to [email protected] which I did. I then called my bank and spoke with someone in the fraud department. I was asked if I gave them any of my personal information which I did not. Fraud person indicated that since I did not give them any personal information I was good. But I wanted to report this to ScamPulse.com to help others.
