I was contacted by a Bernard Christopher saying they saw my resume on Texas Workforce.org and was interested in an interview

for an Administrative Assistant Data Entry position. When I emailed that I was interested, he directed me to go to Wire.com and open a chat

with a Roger Richard. I proceeded to answer normal interview questions and was then told I was hired and I would be getting a check

sent to me to pay for the software needed to set up an at-home office. When I get the check, I am supposed to deposit it and then buy the needed software. I was told to contact him at 8am tomorrow morning.

I did not provide any banking numbers or SS numbers. They have my name, address, email, and phone.

I took photos of the entire conversation.

I was contacted by Ciox Health or someone stating they were from this office. I went through a long interview and was hire to handle medical records. They then proceeded to say that because they are out Georgia they will send me a check to order the equipment I needed. This is the first time I applied to work from home so I did not even think this would be a scam, it never crossed my mind. They sent a check via Fed EX and I took it to the bank and needless to say I am now out $1,500 which I cannot afford to pay back to the bank because they only released a part of the check and I was instructed to reach out to a vendor to request the website links I would need for the job. This never took place and I am beside myself because I am the only one bringing in the income well I am actually on unemployment at this time. Tears are not enough so please research before accepting.

I was recently contacted for a job opportunity that I applied for, and was really happy I heard back from the HR person. Once she contacted me she asked me to send her a screenshot of my credit score, background info, a copy of my resume, cell number in one email. She said that the data and the other information we will provide you is costly and company can not take any chances. She said it just like that. Really Unprofessional!! As I was doing all of this I stumbled across a problem. I contacted her back about my background info and asked her if I had to pay for it. She seen it was a problem and sent me another link to check it and said send me the member ID once you are done. I clicked it and as I am trying to complete it I seen I had to pay more than what was offered. I called the customer service representative of the site and he said that the employer that is using this as a background check site for employment, can not do this. It is illegal for them to do that. Luckily, No payment information was processed from me. i emailed her back to see if there were other options and I didn't hear anything back from her. I tried one more time the next day and still nothing. Very Unprofessional and seems very skeptical!!!
