Brainy Yorkie Reports & Reviews (1)

- Woodlyn, PA, USA

I was in the process of purchasing a teacup yorkie from an online seller. I found the seller through Facebook and was not sure if I should trust the seller. The group is called "Brainy Yorkie". I did not meet with the puppy and the seller had not asked me if I wanted to. They wanted me to pay by wiring a money gram, ($450) which is a method I had never heard of. So I had asked a gentleman at the pet store I visited later that evening and he basically told me that its a way of transferring money from Walmart to Walmart that is untraceable (requires ID). This had raised some red flags for me. That same evening I had set up a time to call the seller the following morning at 9am. I proceeded to call the following morning and my phone displayed "User Busy" and hung up the call. I waited a couple minutes and tried again...the same thing happened. I repeated this process like 3x just to make sure it was what it looked like (a scam), because I was really hoping to adopt the puppy and wanted to be absolutely sure it was a scam. After my failed attempts of contacting the seller, I came across bbb.org and looked into puppy scammers. I then messaged someone through the website via ScamPulse.com Live Chat Support, who was very helpful and informed me that the website was a scam and advised me to report and block the page (which I did). The person from live chat also advised me to meet with the breeder the next time I try to adopt a puppy, which is very solid advice.
