ZoooDeal Reports & Reviews (1)

On March 7, 2018, I did a Google search to find deals on DNA kits from Ancestry.com. An offer was found through ZoooDeal.com. I purchased three kits for my family, totaling $194.70 (including tax), paid via credit card online and received an email from [email protected] confirming my purchase, providing an order number and saying the product was on its way. Three kits arrived at the address requested. All of them seemed to be authentic Ancestry.com kits. Upon opening the merchandise, when trying to register them to our Ancestry.com accounts, the product numbers were not accepted by the Ancestry website. I called Ancestry, and they confirmed that the numbers seemed to be valid numbers, but after some digging, they said these numbers had been registered and cancelled. The original registration had been done under a name I did not recognize. They concluded the sale had been fraudulent, and told them I could not use or register the kits. They advised me to throw them out, place a claim with my bank or the vendor and purchase again directly through Ancestry. I did a search on Google for ZoooDeal, and nothing came up. I searched my email and found the confirmation email -- it contained no customer service number, no address, and no name of any employee. I replied to the email and got an error message: "Address not found." The business/site simply disappeared from the face of the earth.
